“Can I…?”
Jason closed his eyes but nodded. “Go ahead.”
Warm, rough hands pressed against the bottom of Jason’s ribs, feeling across the artificial implants that had replaced his real bones after - after. Dick’s breath stuttered as his hands continued up, mapping the extent of the damage, and Jason barely avoided trembling.
“Jesus,” Dick murmured as his hands worked over Jason’s collarbone, shoulder, and down his bicep. “Your arm.”
“Yeah,” Jason said, breathless despite standing still. “They’d never tried a reconstruction this extensive, but you know me. I’ve always been lucky.”
Dick’s hand stopped when it reached Jason’s. He closed his fingers around it and squeezed. “I knew you were hurt,” he said. “I didn’t know you were - this. Bruce never, he never said anything.”
Dom/Sub AU
Jason snorted at that and closed the book he’d been reading. “We both know outside of Bruce, you’re the last person in that room who needs protection.” Jason turned his head, caught the kiss aimed at his cheek against his lips. “You’re just upset you have to play nice.”
“You’re not entirely wrong,” Dick said, nipping at Jason’s bottom lip hard enough to sting. “But with so many strangers around, you know I don’t like it when I can’t see you. What if someone tried to spirit you off and take advantage of you?”
“You mean like you?”
Dick’s hand clenched down hard on Jason’s throat, the other brushing up his cheek to sweep away the fringe of his bangs as his blue eyes darkened with a possessive anger. “That’s different,” he said. “You belong to me, Little Wing. No one else gets to touch you.”
Ion JayKyle
Jason stared, gun still raised, but he reached over to flip the light switch. “Rayner?”
Kyle winced as the stairwell lit up, lifting a hand to shield against the sudden glow. His black hair dripped rivulets down his too pale face, and a dark bruise shadowed his left cheekbone. Jason lowered the gun.
“Fuck’s sake, Kyle,” he said. “We have a front door.”
“Sorry,” Kyle said, shaking his head and pressing a hand to his temple. “I don’t—I don’t remember how I got here.”
Jason cursed and placed the gun on the hallway sideboard, before jogging up the stairs. Kyle swayed where he stood, and Jason gripped his shoulders to steady him. “Easy, Nightlight,” he said. “Did you hit your head?”
