I’ve lost all of my grandparents and an aunt on my dad’s side. My fiancé has lost all but one of his grandparents. I wanted a way to include their memory on our wedding day. I made this sign to put on the chair that will be reserved in memoriam for those we love that couldn’t be there in person.
I’m not a religious person, and a lot of the inspiration pieces I found mentioned “heaven” which just didn’t work for me. I appreciate the sentiment, but it just wasn’t “us”.
After the ceremony, this sign will hang with photos of our family members for whom the chair represents.
