Sunday 16 February - Carribean Cookout @ Ferdydurke

Join the tropically-infused presentation Caribbean Cookout for their third Sunday session of sun-kissed beats at Ferdydurke this weekend for 13 hours of music.

As well as Bahdoesa + Bumaye, Sista Sara, Di Di, DJ Sam, Kid Militan, Mr Fish, King Ru, Skaaki, and Sista Zai all pulling solid slots of tunes, Mad Decent's South Rakkas Crew will also be showing for another free appearance as DJs.

Friday 27 September - Dub Meets Hip-Hop #4 feat. New Dub City and Muma Doesa

A good live event on the more chill tip of hip-hop, dub styles.

New Dub City - fronted by MC Ali and featuring Pauly Fatlace in their band - have a reputation in Melbourne for their social commentary and grass roots activation. If you haven't seen them before and you're into this sort of thing, now is a good time to get versed.

Complimenting New Dub City are the linguistic talents of Muma Doesa and MC Birdz (from Brisbane), and seasoned with with the DJ know-how of Sensi and Zulu Flow.

8pm-12am. Empress Hotel, Corner Nicholson and Scotchmer Streets, North Fitzroy. $5.
