Hmm...
i really am on my Bayonetta brain rot right now oh good lord they have banger OSTs both 1 and 2 and it's so so amazing. i am THIS close to making a post about 'You may call me Father'. i am having too much feels for that track its crazy
Into the Bayonetta Rabbit Hole
After the release of Bayonetta 3 gameplay trailer last year, it really piqued my interest in the game. I was familiar with the name and I knew it was a hack-and-slash, which I was kind of 50-50 because of my previous experiences with the genre (I knew it takes a lot of skill to properly dish out good combos and that button-mashing can only take me so far). And it was a good timing too that Steam had Bayonetta on sale for a very very cheap price so I bought it. And that's where the descent through the rabbit hole started.
I started playing it in Normal mode, not knowing how unforgiving that difficulty was in this game for someone who doesn't play this genre that often. So, I died a lot; took a while to get the proper timing to trigger Witch Time and almost rage-quitting whenever I discover one of the Alfheim portals. But unlike the previous hack-and-slash games I've played, Bayonetta actually made me want to improve at the game and learn proper combos, not just button-mash my way. And despite the setbacks, I did enjoy the game a lot and that was one of the motivations that kept me going. Now for the story, it was quite interesting for me. Some might think it's a very generic plot of stopping the bad guy from ruling the world, but it does have its own flair and twists that made me invest on it as I played through.
After I finished the first game, I went to watch some playthroughs of Bayonetta 2 and oh boy, I was so pleasantly surprised. The game looks even more gorgeous and it seems that controls and gameplay had a lot of improvements. The Masked Lumen fights were definitely a spectacle even though it looks a bit cluttered with the summons battling it out at the back while fighting this fast-moving of a man. And the story? I love it! It gave a lot of insight as to what really happened during the Witch Hunts and showcased Bayonetta's character under all that sass. Also, she really went and fucked up Inferno to get Jeanne back which is a A+ for me. Just a gal saving her pal, y'know?
And now, it's all just a waiting game for Bayonetta 3 to come out. I don't know how many times I've replayed Bayonetta 1; currently clocking 90 hours on it . I already got most of the achievements. The only remaining ones are for those after beating the game in Hard and Infinite Climax modes which I'm putting off for now since I think I'm not good enough for it yet. Maybe next week or two, I might start working on that. And aside from trying to get all the achievements for it, I also have been plagued by a lot of headcanons and theories. I've been reading a lot of fics and basically just consuming any available content and I don't think it will stop anytime soon. I might write some of it down. I don't know. But all in all, I'm liking my stay in this fandom so far.
Now all that needs to happen is for Bayonetta 3 to come home.

Oh also did you figure out Bizkarroi's UA
"Maintaining the experience and skills of past incarnations"
So what was the plan, anyway
It's not finished yet.
Other question for Munchin: What’s Bizkarroi’s UA?
Currently working on finding out that information. I'll update you, just remember to ask again.
