Freddie Mercury at one point owned up to 10 cats at a time, has at least 2 songs dedicated to his cats, and preferred cats over children.

I can't say he's wrong. Fierce as they are, murder floofs are quite wonderful companions. I would write all the things about my own if I had time.

Should I adopt a murder floof?

Yes. Their fluffy mischief makes them wonderful additions to your life and to your sanity levels. So long as you have the proper housing, financial means, and are not allergic to them, then I highly recommend rescuing/adopting a murder floof or three.
