Pretty Girl
Okay so I've been working on this for a bit and I honestly really like where it went. I sent a request to a writer to write this but I haven't seen an update in a hot minute so I'm taking matters into my own hands 👀. Again this is just a female reader, not specifically masc or fem but I am masc so I kinda didn't go out of my way to change anything to fem. I wanted to base the vibes off of "Pretty Girl" by John B. so maybe give that a listen while you read. I'm really into making music right now too so reader is a starting musician. I'm also fairly new to writing fanfiction but I hope you enjoy!
(Alysa Liu x Female Reader)
---------------------------
It started off small. It was never meant to get this intense, but sometimes things don’t always go the way she plans. Tonight however was an exception, strategically planned to go just the way she wanted. Seeing you walk through her hotel room door she smiles to herself thinking about how she got here.
Alysa was captivated from the first look at you. She can’t even remember what stupid event it was. The only thing she vividly remembered was you, down to the last detail. The strands of hair in your face, the smell of your clothes, it was almost like it had happened just the other day.
She had gone to the event thinking it would be like any other one. Loud, overwhelming, and boring. People would hit on her in private or try to talk to her and ultimately fail. That was until she saw you. A relatively new celebrity who had started gaining recognition for your music. Big enough to be invited to the event yet small enough that no one was too anxious to get some time with you. There you were, standing in the crowd talking to some interviewer about your latest song.
The interview didn’t take too long and no one was paying much attention to you for the rest of the night. Spending the majority of your time at the bar alone, Alysa had silently watched from afar. Much too busy to get a chance to even think about talking to you.
For the most part there was nothing much to watch. A couple of people had come up to talk to you or you would get the occasional photo shoot. That was until she looked away for an autograph for a couple of seconds, only to look up and see you leaving with a random person. It was quite disappointing to see you leave, especially because she was hoping to talk to you tonight. But even more so because you had left with someone else.
After returning home, she couldn’t stop herself from thinking about you. Wondering to herself who you had left with or what kind of relationship you had with the person. Spending the rest of her night on her phone figuring out answers before coming up with one, it was only your friend. Through this mutual friend she found so much more to you than what had lied on the surface. Old social media accounts with videos of your younger self and so much more. Including an old account with past music from your early days.
Consumed by all of this, hours had gone by before she found herself getting tired. By this time she had already watched all of your past interviews and listened to the majority of your discography. Alysa wondered to herself why she was so intrigued by you as she fell asleep.
That was a couple of months ago, since then she had been having vivid dreams of you almost every night. The most recent one had her wishing it was real as she woke up. You and her at a party. Your hands snaking down her waist as you brought her in closer. Leaning in to whisper something before she had woken up.
It was annoying how much you had been on her mind. Today she found herself following you around to various places, the guitar store, a farmers market, and to a quiet cafe. Being sure to not get too close but just enough to keep you in her line of sight. She had started doing this not too long after her first dream of you. It wasn’t supposed to be something she was doing on a daily basis, but there was just something that she was so drawn to about you. She couldn’t control how intense her feelings were.
By the end of the day she had returned home, it wasn’t too much of an eventful day but it was successful. Any day she dodged the paparazzi was a successful day out. Even though she had spent almost all day around you she craved something more. She wanted to talk with you, get to know you. Not just the person in the interviews but the real you.
That was until she received an invitation to a small private mixer. Usually she would’ve ignored it, just another stupid promotion event with fake people. People who just wanted to get ahead, people who smile and laugh at everything, doing anything they possibly can to schmooze up to the big shots. That was until she saw your name on the guest list. Alysa decided to accept before she could think better of it.
It wasn’t long before the night of the event had come. Dressed in classy clothes and her own personal jewelry, Alysa arrived at the venue. It was a hotel, classy and elegant, the lighting warm and the music soft. As expected there were also many suck ups. Then there was you, sitting at the bar again. Talking to a random person, looking better than she remembered. It had only been a couple of days since she had last seen you, but it was still refreshing to see you again.
She waited, staying close to you. Waiting for the perfect moment to talk to you.
Waiting until conversation thinned out, until you were alone for some time.
Until it looked natural enough to walk up and ‘accidentally’ run into you.
After some time she finally saw her chance, stepping in to take it. Walking behind you a bit before brushing up against you. It was enough to make your drink spill a bit on the counter in front of you.
“I’m so sorry”, Alysa says before turning around to face you. “No no, it’s fine. It’s pretty crowded around here” you say while grabbing a napkin to clean up the spill in front of you. Sitting down next to you Alysa pulls out her wallet, “I’ll get you a new drink”. “You don’t have to do that, I was gonna go after this last one anyways. This is probably just my sign to leave early anyways” you say before moving to get up. “I want to” she says quickly, frantic to get you to sit back down.
“Uhhh okay then, thank you”
“I take it you don’t want to be here anymore?” Alysa says, breaking the silence that had taken place after trading your names. “Not really, I was dragged here by my managers. They said it would provide better opportunities for me or something but…no one's interested in a new face I guess” you reply, tracing something with your fingers on the counter. “I am. You seem pretty cool in my opinion” Alysa replies, studying the way your hands moved.
You laugh a bit at her response, “You’ve only just met me”.
Alysa tenses a bit at this, you don’t seem to notice this. “I mean yeah but you didn’t seem to mind too much when I spilled your drink so…you seem chill”.
“Yeah, I mean I guess that’s true.”
The rest of the night Alysa and you had talked, the conversation flowing nice and easy. Going from topic to topic, talking about just everything that had come to mind. Staying beside her and shifting your body towards her as you talked. Whenever the crowd around you and her had gotten louder, you leaned in closer to her to listen to her talk. You were completely oblivious to the way Alysa's eyes tracked your every movement.
Alysa had taken note of how you didn’t seem to move back to your original place after leaning in. She had noticed everything, the way you smiled at the things she said. How your shoulders had relaxed when she spoke. The way you were captivated by her, listening to every word she spoke carefully. It was something she had been dreaming of since the first time she saw you.
Eventually, the crowd got louder. It was clear you were becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the noise and decreasing space around you.
Alysa glanced at the doors before turning to you, “It’s getting pretty crowded around here yeah?”
“Yeah, a bit” you reply, you wanted to stay and talk but it was much harder to listen to her with all of these people around.
“I have a room upstairs we can go up to…” her voice was soft enough to a point where only you could hear. “It’ll be much quieter, more comfortable. We won’t have to worry about all these people around us.”
You thought about it for a moment, you had some things to do in the morning but did all that really matter right now? Your hesitation was noticeable to Alysa, but it only confirmed her beliefs that the offer really mattered to you.
“Or you could go home, maybe you’re too busy to keep talking…” Alysa said with a sigh. “Just thought you could use a break from all this.”
She made it sound so nice, so easy, to just follow her upstairs. Harmless like the choice was up to you, but was it really?
You nod, “Sure.”
A smile spread across Alysa’s face, satisfaction ran through her body. This was it, the moment she had been carefully crafting since she had first seen you. “Great” she said standing up to grab her things, “Come on”.
She grabs your hand gently before leading you through the crowd of people towards the elevator. The walk to her room is silent, not uncomfortable or awkward. It’s a quiet peace that lingers between the two of you. She could tell you were a bit nervous but didn’t think too much of it.
Entering the hotel room, you take note of how clean it is. “You can just sit wherever you want” Alysa says, turning on the lights and grabbing a bottle of wine from the fridge. You sit down at the foot of the bed before laying down. “Tired huh?” she says from the other side of the room
“Yeah, all this new popularity is kicking my butt…and I’m not even big yet”
Alysa laughs a bit before coming to sit next to you, handing you a glass of wine. The newfound closeness between you and her makes you a bit tense, and she notices. “I don’t bite you know, you can relax a bit” she says with a smile. The joke is enough to make you smile and loosen your shoulders, “Sorry, I’m just not used to this”.
“Used to what?” she says, a look of curiosity on her face. “All of this, the attention, I mean I’m in an Olympic gold medalist's hotel room drinking wine right now…it just feels surreal” you reply. “Maybe by the end of the night it will feel somewhat real” Alysa says, she made it sound like a joke but there was something in her expression that lingered just a second too long.
The next hour was spent with Alysa asking questions about your music, not in a half-interested way that people at these events usually listened with, but with real attention and interest. You were happy to answer questions, even surprised by how interested she was in the topic. When you mentioned one of the first songs you had created, Alysa smiled.
“I like that one. It’s different from the rest of your stuff, much softer.”
You blink, “You’ve listened to it?”
“I’ve listened to a lot of your music, the newest ones, the older ones, even your first ones on that separate account.”
She said it so casually, like it was something that didn’t mean anything. But it did, to you it did. You should’ve thought it was strange, but you didn’t. I made you feel seen almost, someone actually took interest in your music. Not just the newer ones that your label had suggested putting out, music that was only made to grab attention. Something that didn’t really feel like you. Alysa had found the real stuff. The things you made that actually mattered, the art you had spent so much time on. Pouring everything into, she had seen it. It felt almost intimate, like a secret only she kept.
Alysa noticed a change in your expression, “I really hope that's not weird or anything”.
“No, it’s okay…it’s actually kind of nice. I didn’t think anyone would ever hear it” you say with a smile. Your gaze locking with hers for a second longer than necessary.
“Good”
She sat closer to you afterwards, not all at once, but subtle enough for you to notice. You didn’t pull away, instead relaxing into it. Like giving in to the closeness was easier than resisting it. You didn’t mind one bit at all.
“You’re pretty easy to talk to”, you said after a while. Immediately feeling a little embarrassed by how honest and open you were being. “You make it seem like that’s an unusual thing,” she says quietly.
You laugh softly, “It is for me.”
“That’s a shame” she murmured, her eyes flicking to your mouth before returning to your eyes, “You seem like someone worth listening to.”
Her tone was warm and dangerous, enough to make your insides feel like they were filled with butterflies. Her hand moving so that her finger tips were resting on the back of your hand, it was enough to make your breath hitch slightly.
“I like talking to you,” she said with a smile.
“I like talking to you too” your voice is quiet. Surprised by the compliment.
That seemed to please her, the following moments were quiet. Alysa had noticed you kept looking out towards the window. The city lights holding your attention.
“The view is nicer up close” she said getting up and walking towards the balcony. Glancing back at you like an invitation. Getting up to walk over to the balcony you feel warmth flowing through your chest. Joining her to look at the lights and cars below, Alysa’s shoulder touching yours, “It’s nice.”
Alysa makes a small sound in agreement. “I like it when it’s quiet like this, everything looks so pretty” she says, her eyes drawn to the buildings. You nod, glancing at her. Her face glowing from the bright lights below. She looked beautiful, her hair falling into place perfectly with a faint smile on her face.
“I can see you staring at me you know” she says after a moment, turning to look at you. You laugh a bit, your face turning slightly red, “I’m sorry it’s hard not too.”
Her expression is soft as she smiles at you, “Don’t be” she murmured, “I don’t mind.”
The space between you two began to shrink, her hands gently falling to your wrists. A small touch to test the waters. You didn’t move away, you didn’t want to. Alysa’s eyes flicked to yours, searching for approval or discomfort. Her thumbs lightly brushing over your wrist, “Is this okay?” she asks.
“Yeah”, the answer coming out of you softer than intended.
Alysa’s smile deepened, pleased with the answer she received. Her hands softly finding themselves on your waist as she stepped closer. You could smell her perfume on her, sweet with something warm underneath. She leaned in slowly, giving you a chance to pull back if you wanted. You didn’t.
“Can I?” she whispered.
You nodded, words failing to come up.
The kiss started slow, her lips soft against yours. Her hand stayed at your waist to steady you while the other came up to the back of your neck, slowly threading her fingers into your hair. The kiss deepened gradually, her mouth moving with less caution and more passion. When she pulled back it was only far enough to get a look at you. Her eyes half lidded as her forehead rested gently on yours. Her thumb coming to trace along your jaw, “You’re even better than I imagined” her words coming out like a confession.
You blink, still dazed from the kiss. “Imagined?”
Alysa smiled, “Just a figure of speech” she murmurs before covering it up with a kiss on the corner of your mouth.
She leads you to the bed, her hands still on your waist. You sink down together, she pulls you into her lap. Her arms wrap around your waist as her kisses get slower and lazier, her lips trailing from your mouth to your jaw and landing on your neck. Each one lingering just enough to make your breath hitch.
“You’re so beautiful,” Alysa whispers against your skin. Her hands slid up your back, under your shirt, her hands feeling warm against your skin. You melt into her, hands finding her shoulders and hair. “Alysa” you say, her name a sigh.
She pulls back just enough to look at you, her expression filled with need. “I’ve got you” she whispers, almost like a promise. “Just relax.” She kisses you again, trying her best to control herself.
You melt into her kiss. The rest of the night was spent with kisses, touches, and quiet words traded in the dark. Her voice always there to guide you deeper into her. You fall asleep in her arms later believing that the night was all just one big coincidence. Alysa stays awake a little longer, satisfied with her work. Admiring her success.

Phew guys that's like the longest one I've written, I really hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed making it. Maybe let me know what else you wanna see, little spin-offs of this story or my last. I kind of just write when I feel like it so not very consistent, I apologize. Let me know if you liked it though.
