Curled up in his bed Benjamin was torn between drifting off or staying awake with his girlfriend as the movie played in his room. The day was going perfect already and if Benjamin could have his way he would spend it all day with her. Spring break was here and he was caught up on all his work and that meant for once in his life he was going to goof off and just chill. Kissing the top of Maria’s head he couldn’t help snuggling more into her side still tempted to drift off. Especially when no one else was home to worry about barging in on them.

Holding a cigarette to his lips Benjamin kicked his heel back against the castle wall blowing out the smoke with barely a care in the world at what happened. Turning the cigarette in his hands Benjamin just grabbed his glass downing another drink before pouring himself another one as he admired the scenery. Or at least the boredom of everything had caused him to find peace in it. Maybe he should find his wife for a little fun.

With the crown finally his Benjamin found himself spending the first few months more in his study then out. He still tried to make sure he gave Maria enough attention but it harder to split when he had due dates and meetings and plans what felt like always. Today though he wanted to make the day about her. Having everything planned her had the carriage set and a picnic basket in there as well. Walking back into their room Benjamin smiled sitting down on the bed. “did you sleep well mon amour.”

Picking up the phone he was directed to Benjamin sighed calling his girlfriend instead of his parents because it was easier and he could fix it all once he was out but until then he was going to rely on her for help and pay her back after.

“Hey Maria.... I’m kind of in jail.”

“Are you sure you’re ready to do this? We can wait if you’re not? I don’t mind. I just want to make sure you’re  comfortable and safe.” Benjamin spoke gently keeping her wrapped up in his arms kissing the top of her head.

Benjamin lay on their shared bed breathing heavily sweat dripping down the side of his head as his body worked to rid itself of the stupid toxins that were in his body. And he just wanted to curse the man he drank from, there were suppose to be better screening for this but no Benjamin had to try his luck instead of drinking from his willing girlfriend. But something held him back from that. Groaning out softly as he heard her enter the apartment from school he resolved to act like everything was normal before giving up and rolling over in bed.
