@taleswritten -- starter from Roche, for Cloud
He let slip a quiet chuckle while removing his gloves; he could see tension in every member of this little ragtag bunch of rebels, and knew his presence was the cause. Yet that mattered little, when his friend and dear rival had taken his offer of aid seriously. Even the close guard Cloud kept on him wasn't much of a bother. Quite the opposite, really.
Tucking his gloves into his back pocket, Roche gathered up the longer half of his hair into a ponytail. The sun might be setting, but the ground still clung to heat like a well-revved engine. He shed his jacket as well - still growing accustomed to the absence of a SOLDIER's pauldrons - and draped it on his bike, before crossing to the flashy offroad vehicle. On his way, he couldn't help tossing another smirk at Cloud.
"I shan't be long, my friend. That awful rattling has surely done enough to your nerves, after so narrow an escape." Roche popped the hood, then climbed up above one of the front wheels to get a good look inside, clicking his tongue in disappointment. "Poor thing must be so unused," he all but purred to the engine block, reaching in for a more hands-on check of each component, and to find the source of the rattle.
