Hiro was sitting down at a table inside of his Aunt's cafe just staring out the window while sipping on his drink, watching people walk by. That's when he saw a brunette haired boy cross the street and walking in the direction of the cafe and made his way inside. He was close to his age range and he was definitely a cute one which made him blush and turned his attention back to the window. (Jamie)

Jamie Bennett pushed the door to the café open, the little bell overhead chiming as he stepped inside. The summer heat had gotten to him, and iced coffee was calling his name like a siren song. He ran a hand through his slightly messy brown hair, scanning the menu as he moved toward the counter—though he couldn't help but notice a guy sitting by the window. A little younger maybe, with dark hair and a kind of thoughtful look in his eyes… and okay, yeah, kind of adorable.
He blinked and glanced away quickly, feeling his ears get a little warm. Smooth, Jamie. Real subtle.
He ordered his iced coffee—vanilla, just a touch of sweet—and as he waited, he glanced over again. The kid had turned back toward the window, but Jamie had definitely seen that blush before he did.
He smirked a bit to himself and stepped up to grab his drink when it was ready, then casually strolled over to a nearby table. Not too close to seem weird—but close enough to start a conversation if the chance came up.
He popped the lid open and took a sip before glancing over with a friendly grin.
“Hot out there, huh? Iced coffee basically counts as survival in this weather.”
Just friendly. Totally casual. Definitely not trying to flirt. Not yet, anyway.
"Hey there. Are you new here?" The boy said, greeting Jamie Bennet. "My name is Hiro, by the way.
Jamie smiled as he got greeted by another boy and waved. "Hi Hiro, nice to meet you, and yeah, I'm a transfer student from the States. Nice to meet you."
Hiro was seen cleaning the front counter of the cafe when he heard someone coming in and turned his head to see Jamie walking in. A smile crept across the young man's face. "Hey, Jamie!"

Jamie grinned the second he spotted Hiro behind the counter, raising his hand in a wave before strolling over with that easy, boyish confidence of his. He leaned casually against the counter for a moment, then bumped fists with Hiro as if they’d known each other for years instead of just a few weeks.
“How’s it going, genius?” he teased, his voice light with affection as he slid into one of the front stools. “Still out here building world-changing tech and keeping the café spotless? Multitasking king, huh?”
Jamie I have been hearing rumours of a newcomer hero is coming who I can describe as a girl who has a strong liking for cats who gets along with small children making her a total sweetheart she has the power to shrink herself into as size of a doll and can change her appearance by those magic cat ears headband on her head so if you, your friends and your sister happen to see her please be nice to her.
Jamie’s eyes widen with curiosity, practically glowing with excitement as he listens. He leans in a little, like he's being let in on a secret.
“Whoa… seriously? A new hero? And she likes cats? That’s so cool! I mean—I love cats! Well, except when Cupcake’s cat scratches me, but still! And she can shrink? Like—tiny tiny? That’s awesome! Imagine all the cool places she could go! Like inside a LEGO house or hide in a teacup!” He spins around, already imagining adventures with the mysterious cat-themed hero.
“And her headband gives her different looks? Magic cat ears—now that’s style.”
He suddenly stops and turns serious for a moment.
“Don’t worry. If I see her—and Sophie too—we’ll totally be nice! She sounds like someone who’d be a really good friend. And if she’s here to help people, then she’s already one of the good guys. I’ll even save her a spot on the sled when we go riding!”
Jamie’s eyes light up instantly, a wide grin spreading across his face as he practically bounces where he stands.
“What do I think of the Guardians? Are you kidding?! They’re awesome! I mean—you’ve got Santa, but not just any Santa—North, with swords and tattoos and everything! And the Easter Bunny? He’s huge! Like, really huge. And kinda grumpy, but super cool. Tooth is so fast and sparkly, and her fairies are everywhere. I even keep my baby tooth in a box now, just in case!”
He pauses, eyes softening a little as he looks up at the sky.
“And then there’s Jack. Jack Frost. He’s… he’s my friend. He believed in me even when I didn’t know how much I believed in myself. He makes winter fun, and he makes me feel like I matter.”
Jamie’s grin returns, full of wonder.
“So yeah. The Guardians? They’re real. And they’re the best.”
"Hey there, Jamie." The prodigy teen greeted the other boy with a wave while he smiled. "How are you doing?"
Jamie looked over at his first friend in this new place. "Hiro! Hi. Any new inventions to save the world this morning? Or wait...let me guess, you have in fact invented five such things and are now on their second revisions."
Jamie smiled as he checked the calendar on the wall again. He was still at his university, studying hard to continue on his life and future. Tonight, though he really couldn’t concentrate though. Why? Because tonight was date night with Jack. He sure hoped the Guardian could make it and some emergency didn’t take it away.
Waiting eagerly, he left his patio door open for Jack to come in through.
“Please come soon.” Jamie said as he glanced at the open patio door and then back at his books as he tried to focus on his studies for now...
