“You’re in my seat. Everyone knows that’s my seat,” Robert grumbled after he’d spotted some guy in his usual spot at the Coffee Spoon. There were plenty of other spots but he liked this one for the vantage point, he could see most of the people but was slightly hidden from view himself. “I sit there everyday. I order the same drink and the same pastry. I have to sit there because bad things might happen if I don’t. You don’t want to know what will happen if you don’t give me my spot.” Was any of that true? Probably not. Didn’t mean he wasn’t going to amuse himself by messing with this poor guy.

Smoke wafts through the air where Robert stood, leaning against the wall of the convenience store. A suspicious object wrapped in a paper bag was held loosely at his side as he people watched. Looking for suspicious activity or some sort of wild trouble was more like it. This ginger guy that walked inside looked weirdly familiar and brown eyes followed him as Rixton walked inside. Head whipped back to front as he puffed away on his cigarette, still deciding if he was going to take his bottle home or to the woods or his lookout spot. Mind was still trying to place that guy from before. By the time the redhead walked out, it had clicked and he rolled his eyes as the man went to pass by him. “Your books need work, pal,” he muttered, pulling his cigarette away from his lips. He wasn’t exactly looking for a conversation but he wanted to see if he was right. He was pretty sure this man’s face was on the back of a couple books he’d seen Mary read before.

“The scar on my eyebrow? I got it the same time I got this knife,” Robert exclaimed as he suddenly pulled out a sheathed dagger from inside his leather jacket. Blade was smacked down on the top of the bar before he pulled it out of its jacket to show off a bit. “I was with a group on a boat off the coast of Somalia when actual Somalian pirates captured our ship. Me and the other passengers were all tied up for hours below deck. I waited patiently for just the right moment. When that came, I ran head first into our guard, hands tied behind my back and knocked him out like I was a human battering ram. I took this knife off of him and cut myself and my fellow prisoners free. This scar I got in the fight for our lives that took place up on deck. Everyone was prepared to swim to shore but seeing as I can’t swim I decided to try to drive the ship. Steered it right up onto the beach and we all made it okay. Kept this knife as a souvenir and it hasn’t let me down to this day.” Only then did Robert stop speaking to take a nice sip of his whiskey.
Robert has a dog! A lil Boston terrier called Betsy.
She's amazing. She gets him out the house and he spoils her rotten.
