Hazel had taken to wandering Bridge Field, one of the calmer areas of the Wild Area. It wasn’t freezing there, and the Pokemon could help take her mind off of home. It had been about a week since she ran away, but she didn’t take into account that she’d be spending Christmas by herself.

Well, at the very least, she had Pastel by her side, who was just happy to still be with her. As well as..this girl who she spotted just ahead near one of the ponds. Maybe she’d like to talk? Or even battle? Someone else’s voice would be enough, really.

“U-Um...Ah...Ehhh...”

She stood there, studdering. She suddenly realized she had no real clue how to talk to people she doesn’t know-

There were more people out and about than she expected. Maybe they were like her, or just felt like taking a walk, but...at least it felt somewhat less lonely with other people around, even if she didn’t know them. Though it didn’t lessen her worry, as she had no idea where she was going in this unfamiliar town.

She wound up bumping right into an older woman with black hair, and lost her balance before falling onto her rear with an ‘oof!’

“S-S-S-Sorry! I-I didn’ mean to run into you. Ow..” She winced as she sat up again, and rubbed her backside before looking up at the woman.

Hazel wasn’t entirely sure what to say. She thought Violet looked tall from afar, but as she got closer she realized she was much bigger than any person she’d ever seen before. At the very least, she was pretty. Maybe she was friendly, too?
