Blaine had seen quite a lot of relationships break up in his short life so far, mostly due to the role they were all given on their 18th birthday. He’d seen people be torn apart, letting their new title define them in ways that Blaine couldn’t imagine. It was sad really, which why he’d decided early on that he wasn’t going to allow himself to be placed in a box, to live by a label that a complete stranger gave him, just because it was written on a piece of paper.
Then he saw them.
He didn’t know too much about them other than their names, he’d tried to do a little research, but he hadn’t wanted to make it too obvious, or make him seem obsessed in the wrong sort of way. But he knew he wanted to find out more, he thought about trying to get one of them on their own, divide and conquer had been a strong tactic in the past, but he saw the way that they looked at each other, as if no one else mattered, and he knew that his usual moves weren’t going to work this time. He had to try something different with these two, maybe a more subtle approach would work for starters?
Spotting them huddled together in the far corner of the bar, Blaine smiled as he ordered a fresh round of drinks to be sent over to them, flashing them a bright smile when they looked up in his direction.
