@museportal asked: A familiar blonde lays her chin on Marinette's shoulder, a small smile on her face. "I see you've been working hard, Mari." With a chuckle, she wrapped her arms around the other female, closing her eyes with a quiet hum. "Why don't you take a break for a little while, alright?"
Ever since she and Dianne had been more than just friends, people had taken notice of the clothing the female wore and had asked upon it. Such gifts to her girlfriend had only led to projects being offered to the young designer, with multiple deadlines and all sorts of ideas blooming in her mind. With that occupying her time as well as school, homework, and nightly escapades across Paris to ensure everyone was safe, time was a luxury that Marinette could ill afford.
Except for when Dia let herself in through the unlocked latch above the high rise and pulled the seamstress into her arms.
Closing her eyes and letting out a gentle sigh, the pencil gently falling forward to land with small clink against the table, Marinette tilted her head to lean in towards the blonde’s cheek. “It’s all thanks to you.” She murmured, nuzzling into her love. “I think I could afford one…Nothing happened on patrol?”
After all, she couldn’t entirely be Ladybug as much as she wanted to be, and she trusted Serene Swan to keep a decent lookout across the city when Marinette was too busy. It offered a chance for the other to escape her house more often than not, and kept the city feeling safe and observed by those who cared for its safety.
“Do you want me to make you some tea? Maman won’t question you being here.” After all, the Dupain-Cheng’s had nearly enveloped Dia into the family as soon as Marinette had introduced her.
