☆ warnings: cursing, mentions of alcohol consumption, dick being drunk, it's kind of corny, other than that just fluff.

☆ author's note: i honestly just wanted to put out a fic that is really fluffy and light since my anxiety has been so wonky recently, so making this is kind of a pick-me-up for me lmao.

You sighed as you glanced at the clock again for the fifth time tonight. The red light on your digital clock lit up your face with a red glow in the dark room.

2:00 AM.

You nervously fidgeted with your hands as your mind spiraled with thoughts. Dick hadn't come home yet. You knew that he had gone out with his friends earlier, but he rarely ever stayed out this late, especially not without calling you first. Before your thoughts had a chance to spiral more, you heard a loud noise downstairs, like someone had slammed the door open.

You jumped up from your bed and grabbed the baseball bat from under the frame. When you lived in a place like Blüdhaven, you always had to be prepared for anything. You quietly made your way into the living room, dropping your bat to your side when you saw the cause of the noise.

Jason was dragging Dick across the threshold. Jason looked exhausted and pissed off. Meanwhile, Dick had a goofy grin on his face, pink heart sunglasses perched on his nose, and a flashing, multicolored LED necklace swinging around his neck.

"Oh, thank God you're awake," Jason grunted as he unceremoniously dropped Dick onto the couch like a sack of potatoes. "Take him. He's your fucking problem now. I can't handle him any longer."

"I- what the hell happened?!" You looked between Jason and Dick, trying to hold back a grin of your own.

"We went to one bar," Jason huffed, running a hand through his hair. "Then Roy and Wally showed up. Then Dick and Wally had way too much to drink, and Roy didn't help by laughing at their drunken antics. And then Dick tried to adopt a fucking raccoon that he thought was a stray cat."

"I- oh my gosh-" You put a hand over your mouth, attempting to muffle your giggle, but failing miserably.

"Yeah, it's real fucking funny to you since you weren't there. You wouldn't be laughing if you were in my shoes right now." Jason shot you a glare.

"I know, I know," you said as your laughter died down. "Thank you so much for keeping him out of trouble. I really appreciate it."

"Yeah, well, you owe me," Jason grumbled, heading toward the front door. "Oh, and just as a warning: he may start trying to backflip off of random shit. So glad he's not my fucking problem anymore." He muttered as he left, closing the door behind him.

You chuckled and shook your head as you made your way further into the living room, coming to stand over Dick, who was lying awkwardly on the couch, one leg dangling over the cushion, his left arm draped limply over the back. He nudged the heart-shaped glasses down the bridge of his nose slightly to look at you better, and when he did, his eyes went wide and his mouth fell open.

"Oh my god," he whispered, his voice laced with genuine awe as he drank you in. "You're... fuck, you're so pretty. Do you have a boyfriend? Please say you don't!" He pleaded, closing his eyes and crossing his fingers tightly.

You bit your bottom lip, trying desperately not to giggle. "I do have one, actually."

"Aww, man!" He huffed, rolling off the couch with a loud thud. You gasped, although Dick didn't seem to care that he had just fallen face first into the fluffy rug. "It's always the good ones! Why are all the gorgeous ones always taken?!" he muffled into the rug, his voice whiny.

"I- it's you, Dick." You giggled, kneeling beside him on the rug and gently cupping his face, tilting his head up to look at you. "You're my boyfriend."

He froze for a moment as he took in what you had just told him. He blinked a few times before a big, dorky, triumphant grin spread across his face.

"OH, LUCKY ME!" he yelled enthusiastically, tackling you to the rug in a giant hug. "I win! Take that, men! I pulled a total babe!"

"Dick, you're hugging me too tightly. I- I can't breathe." You wheezed out.

"Oops!" He jumped off of you before clumsily pulling you up from the floor. "We need to celebrate our epic love. I know! We'll have a feast, a feast made for royalty!" He declared, spinning on his heel and making his way toward the kitchen.

"Honey, it's the middle of the night. You don't need to make us a feast- I... and you're doing it anyway." You chuckled, following Dick to the fridge.

You watched as he cracked his knuckles, stretched his arms, his legs, and then his neck. He cleared his throat, dramatically gesturing at the appliance with his hands. "Open Sesame!"

His face fell when the fridge door didn't budge. He looked back at you with an awkward laugh. "Uhm, don't worry. I've got this. I've done this a million times." He cleared his throat and gestured at the fridge again. "Open Sesame!"

Once again, the fridge door failed to open.

"I think our magic food box is broken." He said, scratching the back of his head.

You walked over and pulled the fridge open for him. When you turned back to face him, a look of total disbelief crossed his features and he gasped loudly. "How did you- a wizard! I'm dating a magical wizard!"

Before you could reply, he grabbed the carton of milk, reached up to pull a box of cereal off the top of the fridge, and pulled out two bowls. You watched him open the cardboard flaps, chuckling softly. "Is this the feast made for royals that you had in mind?"

"Duh! Babe, it's cereal. It's a miracle from the heavens!" He said, turning back to his task. He fully concentrated on the job at hand as he poured the milk directly into the box of cereal. He blinked once, staring at the cardboard that was rapidly becoming soggy, before looking over at the two empty bowls. After a moment of contemplation, his eyes narrowed into slits. "The cereal... it tricked me."

"Honey, listen... you've had a long night," you said softly, taking his arm and gently pulling him away from the counter, although his glare was still glued to the ruined box. "It's two o'clock in the morning. I think it's time to get some rest."

"Fine. Carry me to bed?" He asked, looking down at you with big, pleading puppy eyes.

"Dick, you're 175 pounds of solid muscle. I physically cannot carry you." You said with a giggle.

"You can't or you won't?" He asked, cocking a brow, his expression completely serious.

"Come on, big guy. It's time for bed," you said with a soft chuckle, taking his hand and leading your very lucky, very ridiculous hero back to your shared room.

hell, you’re just packing your stuff after staying at his place for a week (his apartment is closer to your work and that particular week had been STRESSFUL) and you have the nerve to ask whether or not he is being serious about you???

Jason Todd

is surprised to say the least

the guy not only revealed his vigilante persona to you, he also shared his deepest darkest trauma, surprised (and grateful) you didn't turn your back on him

sure, you started as fuck-buddies, but after growing closer, sharing more, going on literal romantic dates, how could you still think jason is being casual abut you?

he's laying on your couch and you're crouched beside him, patching up a particularly nasty stab wound on his side when you can't hold it back anymore and confess that you fucked up and developed feelings for him

Jason, baffled, ignoring the pain to sit up a little straighter, cupping your face 

"you know who I am. you know what I do. we've talked about shit I haven't told anyone else. and you're telling me you didn’t think we were already together?” he kisses the top of your head

Wally West

has never reacted faster 

you barely begin your question when he interrupts you

“no! stop! it's not fair, I wanted to ask you out for real today!” he's pissed he didn’t ask you sooner, never intending to make you feel insecure in the arrangement you had

“I thought I made it obvious I liked you. is that why you pulled away the past week?” he asks

you tell him that you thought you were the only one pining and a bit embarrassed about your feelings for him

Roy Harper

happy, extremely happy (and horny)

when you ask him, he replies dryly “well, we fuck?” when he sees that you’re visibly upset, he tries again, “I thought you wanted to keep it casual?”

you throw a pillow at him, ready to throw something heavier if necessary

“hey, hey, easy! why so angry?”

“asshole!” you throw another pillow "I can't believe I actually thought I could have feelings for you!" 

he smirks “you like me?” after you’ve run out of pillows to throw at him, he makes his way over to you “I might like you too, depends? are you gonna keep trying to murder me? that's kinda hot, I have to admit.” 

you punch his shoulder, then fail at hiding your growing smile before he kisses you, about to test out his new privileges as your boyfriend 

Bruce Wayne

embarrassed that he misunderstood the relationship 

after your latest hook up, you find a large sum of money transferred to your account

bruce has sent you smaller gifts like flowers before, but money? who does he think you are?

he's confused at first, assuming you're busy. but after a week of you ignoring every text and phone call, he ends up standing outside your door

“I thought you actually liked me! but then I find out you paid me? I am so stupid!”

it takes him a while to explain that he didn't intend it as "payment", he  just wanted you to have something nice and that he maybe shouldn't have sent it right after hooking up

he confesses that he thought you were already dating, partly because you'd moaned "I love you" a couple of weeks ago and partly because of the weekend getaway you'd taken together just last week

Okay, so you know those finfcs with Peter in Gotham, and dick is like the DC version of his dad, right? And Peter de ages to ten or fifteen, and his trying to stay away from the bats

What if Reader was like Dick, but she's Peter's mom. But in the Reader universe, there's no Dick, aka Richard, so there's no little Peter for her, and somehow she ends up in Peter's universe, I guess because of Dr Strange's spell, and somehow he destroyed her universe for some plot, I guess. Reader meets Peter, and they form a mother-son bond, but one day Dr Strange has to send Peter out of the Marvel universe or their universe will collapse. So the reader goes with Peter since they formed a mother-son bond, and they end up in the DC universe with Peter de-aged to ten years old. Oh, and you can make Dick an obsessive Towards reader just for the fun of it
