i started making these museum label poems last year and i think i want to make a chapbook of them, is this a good idea?

🇬🇧 "Ladies of Time: A History of Fashion in Metal by Den Karb"

"The Ladies of Time"

These are the metal scrolls where past ages appear through the faces of maidens. These images are but echoes of history, fictional souls embodied in relief to capture the spirit of eras long gone.

Thirty faces carved in metal, from the distant thirteenth century, when traditions held sway and the foundations of lands were laid, to the sunset of the twentieth, and even further — towards futuristic visions hidden beyond the iron horizon.

We followed the paths of old records, yet sources often differ. Seek not absolute historical truth here, for every city and land mentioned is a personal vision. To clarify these dreams, digital sparks guided our creative hand.

Cold aluminum has embraced the spirit, adorned with powders of bronze, copper, and brass. We tempered the metal with fire and milk, added colours and a transparent drop, closed it. Dimensions of the works are 10 by 13 cm.

Created not by a famous hand, but by a time-traveler hidden behind a pseudonym. Let these silhouettes be your gateway to eternal beauty, where comeliness never fades and metal finds its voice.

"Панянки часу"

Се бо предки наші видива мали, а ми у металі їх карбуємо. Жіночі постаті, наче тіні забутих епох, до нас промовляють. Не шукайте тут лиць реальних, бо це відгомін століть, у рельєф втілені.

Тридцять ликів у металі вирізано. Від віку тринадцятого, коли прадавні звичаї силу мали та підмурки держав ставились, до схилу віку двадцятого, і далі — у часи прийдешні, що за обрієм залізним сховані.

Ми йшли стежками знань, та джерела різні бачили. Не кличте нас до відповіді за точність сувору, бо кожен край — то наша мрія, а кожне місто — серця інтерпретація. У сувої ці вплетено іскри цифрового вогню для зору ясного.

Студений алюміній дух прийняв, а пудра бронзи, міді та латуні сяйво дала. Гартували ми метал вогнем та молоком, додавали барви і краплею прозорою, закрили. Мілкі міри робіт — десять на тринадцять сантиметрів.

Не майстер відомий це творив, а мандрівник часом, що псевдонімом прикрився. Нехай же ці лики стануть для вас брамою до вічної краси, де врода не згасає, а метал не мовчить та несе свою думу.
