that feeling when you're unsuccessfully trying to play Chopin's Valse in A Minor Op. Posth and at the same time people your age (or even younger) are starting in an international competition
There are semiquavers and triplets and I have problems with playing my concertino in 50 BPM 😩
I thought tuning my cello with pegs that won’t stay in their place was difficult and mentally exhausing.
boy, was I wrong
today I had to straighten the angle of my bridge that got angled too far on the other side
It’s barely 5 pm and I want this day to end. Sorry for the rant.
Guys, I started my practice journal this week. For both cello and piano. Is it silly for me to say that I already feel like getting to know myself and my cello (/piano) and my playing better? I also write down things that my teacher says during the lessons, and in “her” notebook I put all the notes that she sends me after the lesson. It’s like I slowly regain some balance I didn’t know I didn’t have at the first place.
Also, a question to fellow cellists: if you keep a practice journal, how do you cope with having it beside you during your practice? I’m suddenly grateful I have two chairs in my room, ‘cause I can put my notebook on the spare one...
My favourite activity.
I want to quit at least twice a month and today's the day I feel it strongly.
Today’s mood: when you put on a clean pair of trousers and immediately cover them with rosin
