The Magical Foolish Wedding

Minako found herself playing with her hair some more. She was completely nervous for what was to be going on this day. Even though he had said yes, and they had this all planned out she couldn't help it. It was to be her magical day now, where she would be moving into another family with the one she loved. And yet, there were so many butterflies in her stomach. Was she moving a bit too hastily? Would they be able to keep this up for sure? And what if they did end up fighting? Granted, most of these questions were things she had the answers to already. They had been together for so long that even if they fought, they wouldn't break apart.

And the other factor that was holding their relationship was sitting on her lap, trying to cheer her up. "Mommy don't be sad! You know that daddy will make it and that he loves you!" She said happily, smiling brightly. Bringing her hand on over, Minako patted the girl's head gently. She couldn't disappoint her daughter now could she? "Mommy's just nervous. This is the first time she has ever gone through this before." She added, placing a kiss gently on her forehead.

A ringing from her phone caught her attention. Setting Chihiro down gently, she moved on over to answer. She was relieved when she recognized the name. "Hey there Rise-chan. How are you?" She asked. The two started to make a bit of small talk. It was thanks to her and Mitsuru that this event was possible after all.

"OH! And there is a surprise in store for Yosuke! It was something I learned from senpai! Just no spoiling the fun~!" She added.

Minako's eyes widened a bit when she heard about it. There would be a nurses outfit involved at the suite they'd be staying in? Talk about going all the way. Though she couldn't help but laugh lightly. She definitely needed that. It calmed her nerves and the call ended. She moved on over, getting into her wedding dress and looking it all over. It was a beautiful sheen of flowing white, one that made her smile. Even though she normally would have gone for different colors, this one just told her that it was the one.

And it was like Rise had said before - every girl deserved their dream wedding and day. It surprisingly didn't take that long to get together either. Of course with Risette helping, and of course the Kirijo group, it was meant to be smooth. They just didn't want anymore stress on Minako at all. Though, her senpai was quite surprised that she was alive again. Still, she greeted her as a long lost friend and helped out. It was a shame she couldn't make it though,

From there, she helped Chihiro into her dress. She was glad that they had decided to make her the flower girl. It was the perfect spot for her after all! And on top of that she'd be aided by Nanako. That girl was also so sweet. Though she was jealous of her since she got more time with Yu. He was an amazing brotherly figure after all. It was only natural.

That was something that was posing to be a bit awkward. She knew that Yu was wanting to help her out. She was glad that he didn't at least maul Yosuke when the news was revealed. To be fair it was quite sudden for everyone. She believed they were all just so surprised that he got together with someone as quickly as he did, then even managed to lose his virginity to her, becoming a father nonetheless!

These were the people that she would be staying around and getting to know as well. Her life was going so well here. She wished that her parents and brother would be around for it, but they surely were happy for her. She'd have to make sure to take Chihiro to their grave someday as well. That was the least she owed, since she got to meet Grandma and Grandpa Hanamura.

Getting ripped from her thoughts, she turned her attention to her phone with a frown. Another call? She wondered what was going on as she answered. "This is Minako Arisato." She said, waiting for the person to answer on their end. And when she got the, this is the Inaba Receptional Hospital, the frown grew some more. Her eyes soon widened when she got the news though. "...I'll be over as soon as I can!" She quickly said, closing the phone. She made a quick text to Mitsuru.

Wedding is postponed till further notice. Yosuke and the others are in the hospital! Please pass the word.

Turning her attention to Chihiro, she was quick to changing them back into their street clothes. "Daddy's in the hospital, so we're gonna do this another day." She explained. That was all they had told her over the phone. Something wasn't holding well in her gut though, and so off she went.

Heading off to the hospital, her hands tightened on her steering wheel. Why was this happening? Was she going to be losing more people now that she loved? She really hoped that was not the case. The last thing she needed to do was tell Chihiro about how she'd never see her father again. And in her heart, she didn't even know if she could. But first she needed to find out what was going on. She pulled up and parked, bringing Chihiro by the hand. She at least deserved to know what else was going on.

She was relieved to see the guys seemed all right. Junpei had some minor bruises on his face, but nothing serious. Akihiko-senpai was more or less the same. And Yu probably was hiding his cuts under his clothes. However... "Where's Yosuke?" She asked, looking at each one. They each exchanged some sort of look, which gave her a bad idea. Please be something good...that he was at least in the other room.

"Ah, are you miss Arisato?" Asked a passing nurse noting the group. She nodded, motioning for Chihiro to stay with the others. "What's going on?" She asked. The details were simple - they were coming back from the party they went to last night. She knew about that and trusted them. They all agreed that the next time they would see one another was at the wedding hall. Only...they never had shown up. She figured something was holding them up.

The nurse led her to the room holding Yosuke. Taking one look, she let out a sigh of relief. He seemed fine. Except...there was still something off. The vitals seemed to be weak for sure. Moving on over, she looked over Yosuke's sleeping face, taking it all in. "...He took the worst of it. We figure that he'll wake up at some point. Yet...we don't know if he will retain all of his memories." The nurse said, before bowing in apology.

"We're sorry. His past accidents are what made this so terrible." She added. Instead, Minako pulled on over a chair and sat down, taking Yosuke's hand, fighting the tears. He at least was alive. For now, she could explain it as daddy just needing a lot of sleep to Chihiro, and that the hospital would pay for it. "That...he's all right. That is all I care for." She whispered.

Minako froze in fear as soon as she heard those words. He was being quite serious, and so she had to read his face. There were no signs that this was some kind of prank. But…why would be put her through this?! Didn’t they both save one another by getting together? Or…was she foolishly thinking that he only did this for himself?

Looking back, everything just seemed so genuine. He had stopped her from killing herself, staying there with her to ensure she would not try. Ever since they met it was things like that. They shared many a date that led up to them getting together. And even then. it all felt like he truly loved her. His family was amazing, Teddie she could put up with.

BUT WHY?! That question kept ringing in her head. There was no answer she could think of. All she could do was turn her back on him. “…L…eave…and never come back…” She whispered, waiting for any signs of him to go. And yet when she heard nothing, she chose to lash out.

"WHY? WHY…WOULD YOU EVEN SAY A THING LIKE THAT?!" She shouted, clenching her hands into fists. "WE…WE GOT BACK TOGETHER BECAUSE THAT CONNECTION WAS STILL THERE! I…I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME! CARED FOR ME AND TRULY WANTED TO BE THERE FOR ME!"

For any of it to be a lie…please, please just be a nightmare and allow her to wake up from this. “…Please…just…go…” She croaked out, falling to her knees, sobbing into her hands. She couldn’t bear the thought of being around him now. She needed anyone…her onii-chan, friends. Someone to pick her up and hold her, telling her it’d be fine. But in her mind, there was no one who would care for her like this relationship that had been false.

He made it

A sigh escaped the blonde's mouth as he looked over his work. So much for college being easier than high school. There, he at least had friends to help him out. While he had met some people here, it just wasn't exactly the same. He missed the others and wished he had gone to college closer to home. Rather, there was just one person he missed overall out of everyone. And she knew this area so much better than him. "...Mina..." He said softly, shaking his head. He couldn't turn his back on what he had done. After all, he had to get his future set straight. That is what mattered.

Jumping a bit, he turned his attention to his phone. Of course it was Ted giving him a call. Letting out a sigh, he chose to ignore it. He could leave a message, since he had to focus on his homework. Ring...ring...ring...it kept on going on. Letting out a groan, he chose to answer. "WHAT?!" He snapped, only for him to leave a message he didn't expect.

"MINAKO'S IN THE HOSPITAL! SHE...She told me not to tell you this but I can't keep it hidden from you. She's pregnant with your child and there could be a chance she won't make it!" Came the reply from the frantic bear. Immediately, homework didn't seem to be what mattered to him. Pregnant...why didn't she tell him?! This was something that would have mattered to the two of them of course!

"Yosuke-nii are you there?" He asked, concerned. Blinking a bit, now that the news had settled in, he felt that he actually understood why she didn't tell him. "Ted, I'm on my way. I can't miss this at all." He said, determined to make it back to Inaba. Now, school didn't matter. And if anything? He could explain to them about what was going on. With that, he gathered some things and hopped onto his bike that he bought recently and started the long trek home.

"...Dammit Mina. I'm sorry." He said quietly to no one as he was heading back. He regretted leaving her that night now and knew that was why she didn't tell him. He felt terrible, since the two loved one another big time. But...it was his fault for leaving her that night. She never got to tell him the news that would have made them both happy. That alone kept him moving. It was now or never - he had to be there for his future son or daughter and of course the girl he loved.

When he got close to Inaba he slowed down so that he could regain his composure. Sure, everything was fine and he knew what he had to do. But getting this news out of the blue had rattled him. Teddie seemed to be running to him, and had he not gotten off his bike he would have been tackled off of it. "Ted calm down! I told you I'd show...does mom or dad know?" He asked. He was glad when he shook his head no.

"How about..." He started to ask before he got the response of Yu. "...So Partner knows." Of course he would though. After all, Minako was like a sister to him. When the two first met, he just started to protect her just like Nanako. That meant this wouldn't go well when he would see him. "...He'll understand. I'll get him to understand."

At least, that's what he had to tell himself. In all honesty he felt like shit, and having that knowledge told him this would go badly. Yu probably didn't want to see him at all. Giving one last smile to Ted, he hopped back onto the bike and shot off for the hospital. Surely he was there. How he would go about talking to his partner was his next plan of action. Maybe the news would be enough to keep him in shock.

And he had his answer by the time he had parked and entered the hospital. Right in the lobby was his best friend, looking more stressed than he had ever seen him. "...Partner." He called out, getting a surprised look at first that turned into a stoic one.

"...You're late Yosuke." Blunt and straight to the point. That's what he expected from his partner. Laughing nervously, he moved forward and extended his hand. He figured it would be swatted away. To his surprise, he took it. "...You BETTER be there for her. Or else." That was a warning enough for him. This time, he laughed out of relief.

"That's the last thing you need to worry about. Ted informed me...where is her room?" He asked. Pointing up the stairs, he got the room 205. "Get moving now. And she'll forgive you since she still loves you." That was all the message he needed. Dashing up the stairs, he did his best not to knock anyone over. People moved out of the way of the frantic magician dashing around.

And upon entering the room, his eyes fell upon the person sleeping in the bed. She seemed to be so peaceful despite everything she had to endure. A part of him thought it would be wise to leave. The rest of him told him to keep moving. He took the lone chair and moved it over, sitting down next to her bed and grabbing her hand.

"...I'm such an idiot Mina. I shouldn't have left you like that. I was just afraid you wouldn't want me around. Hearing the news though, how could I stay away? I can't keep running from you. We helped one another. And...it's my turn to be here for you again. I love you."

To his surprise, he got a weak chuckle. "...I could never hate you Yosuke...you saved me after all. And...it's gonna be a girl. I already have a name in mind...Chihiro. Chihiro Hanamura."
