Musiiiiiiii Can I request a little whump? Feel free to ignore fi the requests are closed!
Aaaaanyway,
Can you write about a sick Hero whumpee getting comforted by another character? It does not matter if they are a villain, a supervillain, another hero, a vigilante- you get the idea. I just haven't been at 100% lately and I need a hero to suffer with me lol
Sorry this was a bit too late to suffer with you but I still hope you like it!
"Luna Lift" wasn't feeling especially uplifted today. Her attempt to keep the rain out of her way a few days ago had gone awry when the villain of the week snuck up on her and shocked her out of concentration. Then she was drenched.
Now Violet was sick.
... And for some god forsaken reason, someone was knocking on her door.
She groaned, pushed past the headache, and shuffled her blanket encased form to the door.
"Hell-oh, you look like hell." Jasper greeted his not-quite-friend.
She'd have rolled her eyes if they weren't so heavy.
"Why are you here?"
"Wellll, I noticed my favorite cupcake decorator hadn't been at the bakery for a couple days. Now, that wouldn't have worried me as much if my favorite vigilante with a slight self destructive streak wasn't also missing those same days!"
The idea of slamming the door in his face and retreating to blanket cocoon got more tempting by the second. "And now you see I'm very much alive, so-"
He jumped in before she could shut him out, "So you probably need someone here to make sure you stay that way."
"I already got a care package from the bakery."
"Sugar and sweets are nice. Have you been staying hydrated though?"
Her glaring silence spoke volumes.
Jasper slid past her and looked around. "Where's your kitchen?"
Softly shutting the door in reluctant acceptance, she slid a hand from her barrier of warmth to point.
With a nod he disappeared around the corner, returning with a water bottle from her refrigerator and a question. "Why don't you have chicken noodle soup?"
"What?"
"Why don't you have chicken noodle soup?"
She plopped down on her couch, "Why does it matter what soups I have? Why were you looking in my cupboard?"
"To find a glass for your water, but I opened the wrong one. Regardless. Why do you not have the staple of 'get better now' foods when you're sick?"
"Because I don't like it? The canned noodles are always slimy." Her headache had gotten worse it seemed.
Jasper's face dropped in devestation.
"Thanks for the," she coughed, "water. I think I do need it right now."
He set it on the table next to her and took a deep breath.
"What is it?"
"I am going to make you soup. With real broth and noodles that aren't slimy."
She pressed the water bottle to her forehead. "You really don't have to do that."
"I mean I could switch your powers with a healer instead."
Of course he could. "Which healer?"
"There's more than one?"
"You are NOT putting the weight of gravity on that kid just to make me recover faster!" Cue a full coughing fit.
He waited for it to calm down, "I couldn't even if I wanted to. You know it's practically line of sight only. And I don't see-" Jasper gave a surprised glance out her window, "Well look who it is!"
"Jasper!" Violet grabbed a flip flop from under her couch and let it fly.
"Kidding! Ow! Just, just kidding." He dodged the second shoe being thrown at his head, "I promise."
"Good."
