Do You Apologize To Your Kids? 😍 Are you ready to break the cycle and instill values into kids that embrace and normalize parental apologies in our South Asian/Muslim culture? ⬇️ I am never afraid to apologize to my kids. I think as adults and parents around children, it's super important to let go of the need to be the upper hand, the controller, the one who is always right. I know that majority of the last generation of parents believed even when they were wrong they couldn't admit it to their kids as that would mean belittling their status as parents. I am so glad I am breaking that cycle with my kids.... Whenever I have severe mishaps, I ask my kids to forgive me and I do my best to show them how sincere I am with my apology. Teaching our children mistakes happen but it can always be mended with a sincere apology and changed behaviour is truly a game changer. It's never too late to start. ♥️🙏 Happy First day of Fall btw! Today was a sluggish start of the week and I blame it all to Daylight savings. I really don't like it and don't want it. 🤦🤦🤦 But I'm glad kids went to school and had a productive day with myself organizing and cleaning. We moved two weeks ago and there are still alot of organization to do!! We are enjoying and thankful for Summer Fruits and Flowers. 🌹🌷🌺🍓🍍🍉 My favourite Season today is Summer. But that wasn't the case when I was younger. It was always Fall 🍁 growing up in Canda. Which still is my second favourite season. However, the more I age I find myself rooting for Summer. I also absolutely crave to live by the Oceanside and Mountains! 😍🌿 My husband says those who are born in the Hot countries crave for the warmth as they age because your roots keep calling you closer. That made a whole lotta sense to why I can't stand Canadian Winter anymore. I was born in Chittagong in BANGLADESH. Which is also a Mountainous and Oceanside city. "You Must Be Willing To Let Go Of Who You Think You Are, To Discover Who You Can Become" . I have spent a lot of my life creating an idea of what I should be and what where I should live, how I should live and act, etc. During my travels I realized how short life is and how we spend most of it with unknown worries of the future. Worries for what's to come. . I forget that in order to embrace that life of true happiness I must let go of what I think I should be and let the natural cycle of life guide me to it. . Right now it may be to follow my heart and soul to guide me to a new journey. We may be staying in Malaysia longer than we thought. We may be moving here for a short while. It is not a final decision yet as we have so many adjustments to make. But it's an idea. . My husband and I wanted to relocate to a warmer climate from Canada for many years. We have feared, we worried of taking such a big step for all these years. But now it feels like the right time. Make Duah for us. ❤️❤️ . . I love my Canada. I love Toronto. But we want to prolong our vacation and experience life here for a bit longer.
