☪️𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧 ☪️ Less than a month left for Ramadan 2021 This year I want to bring the Spirit of Ramadan with more Joy and More Love. That means, More decorations for my Kids across my home to enjoy this wonderful time of the year. 💓 I was fortunate enough to grow up till I was 11 in Bangladesh, a majority Muslim populated country where Ramadan and Eid are celebrated everywhere. Since we moved to Canada, my Ramadan and Eid were never the same joyful celebrated as much. 😭😭 Then I had my kids and then I realized this void I felt all my childhood in Canada..the joy of Ramadan and Eid can only be achieved when I make the effort. I am to talk about my Faith and my love for Ramadan & Eid to my children by creating that atmosphere for them at home. We are fortunate to have so many Business owners now selling Decorations from party decor, plates, inflatables to All kinds of Ramadan related products to celebrate Ramadan in Western Countries. H O M E 🏠 A four letter word that holds so much power in our existence. A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams. We make families in our homes, we Laugh with our loved ones in our home, we make meals and love in our homes, we hold our children in our arms and watch them grow in our homes, we make memories that are lasting in our homes. A home is our most craved sanctuary, even when we are out in vacations we long to be back home at some point because... that's it. ...that's where our hearts find peace ☮️ As I stumbled on my door today before entering my home, a rush of sorrow and pain took over me. I thought about those who don't have HOMES right now in P (a) L (e) S (t) I (n) E 🇵🇸 I thought of those Beautiful children who saw their world crumble to pieces but they smiled when their pet fish was found. Because that was the last bit of HOME that they could keep close to their hearts. You see... H O M E is everything we strive for. Everyone wants and needs a place to call home. 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙄𝙛𝙩𝙖𝙧 𝘿𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙃𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩. I bring you a super easy to put together Healthy Iftar Idea. Yogurt Parfait filled with fruits and museli. So it's not your Boring Yogurt but it has the flavours and the goodness too. 💖 This post is in collaboration with these amazing ladies! @sincerelysameen @allthatshedreamed @tkozi_ @momtintedglasses @rubabgetsreal After fasting for 15+ hours our Gut definitely needs a boost of Nutrients. Yogurt is excellent for digestion as it has the probiotics and lactic acids. The fruits will provide you with Vitamin C & Fibre. The Muesli from @ikeacanada will boost the fibre intake along with iron and protein from the Oats. Ingredients ⬇️ 🥝Yogurt of your choice (Flavoured or Plain) 1 cup 🥝Maple syrup or Raw Honey of you use plain yogurt. 2-3 teaspoons 🥝Fruits of your choice (chopped) I used Pineapple and Kiwi. 🥝 Muesli Cereal (you can use sugar free granola mix or oars and nuts) 1/8 - 1/4 cup Directions: Choose a wide mouth glass or a bowl. Layering starts with Yogurt on the bottom. Top with some chopped fruits. Add Museli on top. Repeat until all ingredients have been used. 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐨? ➡️As a Muslim Kid growing up in Canada..i had always followed the Friday rituals my mom taught me to embrace. Since childhood I've watched my parents treating every Friday like a special Blessed Day it is. They woke up early, prayed and my mom started her special Friday dishes while my dad helped us siblings take showers and clean. We had halwa and roti for breakfast, or paratha and aloo bhaji. My dad would then shower, clip his nails, put on Aatir (perfume), read Qur'an and go to the Masjid to pray. At home my mom would cook and then pray/read Qur'an and we all ate lunch as a family. Lunch would often be one of our favourite dishes and remembering those days take me back to a joy I miss tremendously. After we moved to Canada, offcourse Friday was no longer a Holiday here like BANGLADESH. But my dad would still manage to take the day off from work and we would have our Friday special lunch together after I came home from school. It's a beautiful tradition I learned from my parents and now I am reaching my kids to embrace this tradition as their own. Traditions are so beautiful isn't it. It passes on from generations yet stays the same. I love family traditions, especially our Friday rituals. 💗Friday is a Blessed Day for Muslims. It is the day Men are obligated to Pray in a sermon together in the house if Allah. The rewards of this Jumuah Prayer is bountiful. Allah had created the first Man: Adam (AS), he sent Adam (AS) to Heaven on Friday, he was also sent to Earth on Friday. The last hour will begin on Friday. I almost forgot that my kids needed my time too and so I stopped for a while. Took a break from everything and played Uno with them and had snacks together! Here is another thing! If you ever want your kids to eat the Healthy Snacks, you should join them too! A wonderful day spent with friends and my family by the Bhosporus and Galata Tower. We experienced the street life with some delicious Turkish food, fresh fish and Menengiç Coffee (there is no caffeine in this coffee!) . . . Menengic is a coffee like Turkish specialty beverage that is made from the roasted Pistachio tree seeds (commonly known as terebinth and turpentine tree). After the roasting process seeds are mashed until it becomes a paste like melted chocolate. You can either have it by itself or add your favorite Turkish coffee to it. . You will need to stir your brew a little bit longer to make sure paste is all dissolved. It is usually prepared with just milk or with water plus some sugar.
