Imām Ṭabarī رحمه الله said:

"You were once in the womb, unmentioned and unknown. And again you will be forgotten, unknown and unmentioned."

Three principles of 'enjoining good and forbidding evil' according to Ibn Taymiyyah:

1) knowledge,

2) gentleness,

3) patience.

"Knowledge comes before it, gentleness comes during it, and patience comes after it."

Rabi ibn Anas رحمه الله said:

"From the signs of (you) loving Allah عزوجل : that (you make) lots of remembrance (Allah جلا جلاله) for verily you do not love anything (else) except plentifying his remembrance."

Abdullah Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:

"Marry, because if the servant of Allah commits fornication, Allah snatches the light of Iman from him and may or may not return it to him."

Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said:

“Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) would search a lot to find people to help them with their needs. This was because he knew that every time he helped someone then Allāh would aid him.” إن شاء الله

“….So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.”

[Quran 53:32]

Ramadan is a month for purifying our souls. Place your focus on gaining rewards for yourself. Dont judge people that turned holy for the sake of Ramadan. Only Allah knows who is better than the other. Stay away from backbiting and unnecessary condemnation.

But Allah's help is promised, and no darkness lasts forever. Allah has sent Ramadan like a rising sun at the end of a long night. He has sent this month of mercy and hope to save us from ourselves. To liberate the souls shackled by despair and free the hearts enslaved to sin. To show us that truly with hardship, comes ease. And to remind us that no night lasts forever because the decree of Allah is swift and inescapable. And so we bow. We bow to His power. We bow to His mercy. We bow to the opportunity to show our gratitude for this gift.

Let this Ramadan be a time of renewal, transformation and change. A chance to change our lives and ourselves. A stage to demonstrate to our Lord that, indeed, we hear and we obey.
