Things like my focus and attention to detail were getting better by then, but I still had a huge blind spot with some things; in particular with the placement of the figure. I was still depending too much on my references (and unfortunately would continue to do so for a while). Still, I really like this one. A few years ago I was toting around CD's with my portfolio and walked into a high end gallery on Royal Street. The director at the time thought this was the best one and told me I was smart for putting it first.
