Repair time for my original #logitech #mx1000 RF #laser mouse. Thirteen years on the scroll wheel was at least one year too many. Donor wheel came from a #Bluetooth spare I picked up a few years back whose charging circuit developed a short last fall. Put on a fresh set of #skatez and polished up the charging contacts while I was at it. Someone in China is making them in black now, so no more mismatched white feet on this one. Wish I could replace the plastic base - now two of the four screw attachment points on this one have shattered. I already epoxied in one of the charging contacts that broke free last decade. There's just not a lot of material there to work with and it only gets more brittle with age. Unfortunately, I have yet to successfully remove a PCB from one of these.
