COMFORT SENTENCE STARTERS !! – @mxnsxga-93 ; accepting !!
fingers fiddle with the overly long sleeves of her sweater, chewing nervously on the inside of her left cheek – it has NOT been a good day, not at all. and while she openly expresses emotions without fear of judgement she is unable to really accept nice words and offerings of help. amalie is one to want to be her own person, to not have to rely on anyone to be happy; hence the nervousness that is practically oozing off her. a gaze to the side, mouth opening to speak but closing soon after due to lack of words. her thoughts are going from one thing to another, unable to really form a good sentence, and the younger girl rather not risk stuttering when she wants to seem independent and strong – her eyebrows knit together, looking left and right to catch a good train of thought to jump on; something that would make her able to offer a good response. but nothing ( yet ).
“ … thank you. ”, finally comes after another moment of hesitation. clearly amalie isn’t satisfied with her own words, believes that it wasn’t enough, or may seem too vague; as if she, in reality, doesn’t appreciate it. but, oh, she does. if it weren’t for her act of being strong she’d break down in tears and exclaim her validation of the words given to her, how important it is to her to know someone would be there when the sky doesn’t seem to light up for once. that’s something amalie of the past would’ve done, amalie of the past didn’t care about seeming weak, and while amalie of the present still didn’t fear expressing emotions some .. were just a little too much. sadness for example. or the depressing thoughts that often consumed her mind.
a deep breath, eyes momentarily closing – just for a split second. “ i really, really appreciate it. even if i don’t .. ever want to pull you down with me. ” she wants others to be happy, after all. even if that means breaking herself in the process; that’s one thing that stood with her, a small remaining fragment of the amalie of the past.
