it wasn‘t supposed to end like that, because with all honesty, emily wasn’t ready. wasn’t ready to meet the one and only. and she had too much on her head, you KNOW? being a werewolf wasn’t easy( even if it did make things seriously easier ), and being as stubborn as she was, it was hard to deal with it.
the brunette was with her older brother when it all happened. it was one of the few times they had seen each other that month, and the soft tickling of her clock seemed to getFASTER. and she heard it, along with all the conversations on that street( and perhaps, even from way beyond ). scott kept talking, but emily couldn’t listen anymore, looking at her clockas it went down faster. and gosh, she could hear her heart beat, and it was going horribly fast.unhumanly fast.
“ emily!“ her brother called, waking her UP from her own thoughts.“ you aren’t listening!“ the wolf looked up, but at the moment she did, she didn’t look at the tall male. she looked behind him, and she could hear everyone’s breathing slowing down, looking at their own clocks and then at her. and the male, of course, because it was their clocks that were beeping LOUDLY.
Three hundred years was a L O N G time to wait for your soulmate. So long that he’d S T O P P E D paying attention to the clock on his wrist, growing used to the quiet ticking as it S L O W L Y counted down. He used to think he was B R O K E N, back when his mother was alive, tears rolling down cheeks and quivering lips asking W H Y his clock was so high. She’d simply pet his hair with a smile ‘it’ll work out, June. You’ll meet them S O M E D A Y.’ Perhaps this was the day.
Mari sensed it before Juno had, barking and P U L L I N G her leash in the direction she wanted, the direction his soulmate was. Hell hounds were funny that way, sensing things others couldn’t. He staggers behind her, gently tugging on the leash to get her to S L O W down, she ignored her owners demands.
After at L E A S T three hundred and eight agonizingly L O N G years, there’s a loud alarm like beeping emitting from his arm. He glances around at the people around him as it was more likely they’d met their soulmate more than he. F I N A L L Y he hesitantly looks down at his own arm, flashing a series of zeros meaning only O N E thing: his soulmate was H E R E somewhere. He glances around once more before locking eyes with the one who M U S T ‘ V E been his one and only, offering a small smile.
