a massage would heal me
tfw you wanna just lay down for 20 years
Today is the day. I will pull up behind your green subaru at the gas station and I will get an ache in my side and the panic will set in. I will try to tell myself it isn't you. But you hear my voice booming through the cracked window of your car as I hand the gas station attendant my credit card. You will poke your head out and say my name and my insides will burst at the sound of your smile. I will respond, then the dancing will begin. My mind criss-crossing back and forth between meeting you face to face and staying glued to the seat of my car, but the force pushes me through the door and half running, half flying, I arrive at your side. My legs will shake as if the earth was moving them for me and my words will fumble over each other until I find all the syllables that do not make up love. Meaningless, the air between us serves no purpose, but to delude this burning in our souls. The distance from you, to me it is what haunts my life, it is what wakes me and puts me to sleep. I clutch the reminisces I have of you and I dream, and I dream we will devour each others smiles again soon.
