i said i’d keep track of my backlog progress on here, mostly because it’s a fun way to keep track of my own shenanigans, and i’m actually gonna try to keep my word there
i just 100% cult of the lamb, and holy shit it was fun. i sold my soul to this game. like, i threw 30 hours into this game because i was so into it.
i’ve been really enjoying roguelikes in the past year or two, and the townsim parts were relaxing and really enjoyable! i spent more of my time managing my cult, mostly because i had so much i wanted to work towards and never wanted to take much of a break from it, but i honestly enjoyed both parts of gameplay equally.
getting 100% was also a lot of fun! i enjoyed purgatory (except for whenever i got to kallamar. fuck kallamar) and it made me really fall in love with the roguelike gameplay. that said, post-final boss i ran out of things to do with my cult other than using them for gathering devotion. there isn’t a lot that can exactly be done about that, but i still felt a little sad.
overall, banger game, do recommend
I have a huge backlog of art I haven’t posted on here. Bare with me?
so i beat insaniquarium today
i've not really noted when i've completed games on tumblr, despite actually having wanted to (honestly to help me keep track of what i have and haven't done), but i'm noting this because this was the end of a SAGA
like, there were so many things that happened with my online friend group and with my choices in general because i promised to play insaniquarium. i set up dualbooting on my mac since insaniquarium is only on windows, which led to me playing games on my laptop more and getting into pc gaming, which led to me getting a personal pc which has led into a lot of other stuff
purely because i told my friend i would play insaniquarium two and a half years ago
and then i never got the game until like two months ago and then took a while to actually start it
but i did enjoy the game! it wasn't anything incredible, but it was still solid. it perked up for me in tanks 3 and 4 and the game has charm. i don't think i would have enjoyed it as much without sharing my experience playing it with the friend that recommended the game to me

STEAM SUMMER SALE TRADING CARD NO. 4, THOUGH.
I want it. I need it. I will glut my backlog with ridiculously priced indie games until I have it.
AND SO IT BEGINS.
Take a look through what I've got, and maybe help me decide what to finish next?
