Help out my classroom

I teach chorus in a very rural school with very little arts funding, so I am shamelessly asking my readers and friends for help getting supplies for my classroom. For context, all of the students in my school receive free breakfast and lunch through a government grant due to low income. I am trying to grow the chorus program and I want to provide my students with every material and opportunity I can so that they can succeed.

I know money is tight for everyone, so if you can’t purchase anything, I would appreciate a reblog so maybe this post reaches someone who can. Every little bit helps.

I want to theme my middle school classroom next year. When I taught high school, I did like a Marvel theme cause I loved it and it felt relevant, but I’m not feeling the vibe anymore, so:

What should I theme my middle school classroom?

Zelda: My fave video game and probably somewhat familiar to the students

Hunger games: We read it later in the year so maybe it’ll build anticipation?

Star Trek: Students won’t like what I pick anyway so might as well go hog

it’s parent/teacher conferences and i have had 3 kids from one family and their kids are really great but also kinda private and shy and the parents always come to parent teacher conferences and i say my little spiel about how great the kid is and the parents nod and smile and then just continue to sit there and i’m like... what else... would you like... me to say? and now i have done this conference 5 times and it’s my literal small talk nightmare and i just went through it on zoom and now i’m all sweaty! it was only 8 minutes long and it felt like 25 omg i’m so bad at this why am i so bad at this
