I’m aware that it’s not a leather jacket, but a jean jacket, I was working with what I got, haha. Dyed myself, and ironed on the logo using transfer paper. Going to be wearing it tomorrow, and I may make an update in the future telling you guys how it held up after a wash, and after the faire.
Despite the “70% - 100% cotton fabric,” at the bottom, I received this as a birthday gift a month ago, and decided to give it a go anyway. The ironing went well when I followed the instructions. I can only hope it’ll stay nicely. As for the dye job, I used a black Rit dye.
I believe the transfer paper costed under 20 dollars, but close.
This was a fun project! I’d recommend trying it for yourself if you’re up for a craft.
(Well, been finished for a little while, but I’ve been too busy to get around to photographing them...)
Lightsaber bookmark #5 - Kylo Ren’s saber (Bookmark :: Pattern on Etsy. Also now included in the lightsaber pattern set)
Ren’s lightsaber presented the challenge of making it look... unstable. I tried experimenting with using more backstitch with the glow and metallic red to create this effect... I’ll leave it up to you to decide if it worked. *shrug*
Deltora Belt bookmark - From the wonderful Deltora Quest series by Emily Rodda. This was a joint brainchild between my cousin and I. I’d been playing around with the idea for a little while, but the two of us hashed out a belt/medallion design in a night, and then we just kept going! Not up on Etsy yet, I may do some more experimentation yet. (Especially the damn opal. Ugh!)
