that thing abt your missing candy- if that isn’t the summary of living in a big family idk what is LOL
it’s weird though because
•i have four younger siblings•of these, one doesn’t even like chocolate•one loves chocolate and esp twix but already asked for part of a bar and i gave it to her; she says she hasn’t seen it and is usually not one to be sneaky/lie•one doesn’t like twix, kitkats, or cookie candy in general i tHINK•one is an Enigma whom i don’t fully know what he likes and doesn’t like bc he never talks and would outright lie and say he didn’t like something if he thought it would make him look cool (he’s twelve)
oh and also•i genuinely do not know if i ate it or not and if i did i have literally no memory of it
but•there’s no trash, and i don’t remember throwing the wrappers and the ziplock bag away, which, due to the general unwillingness of my sibs to of their own volition throw away trash, esp if it isn’t theirs, means there would be trash still sitting around if i were the one who ate the remainders
quite the puzzle i’ve stumbled upon. where’s agatha christie when you need her.

so, i’m trying to get a mag/zine up and running and i could really use some help from y’all!!
the magazine is going to be sort of broadly themed around millennial life, and the struggles of living in a world that seems to be falling apart around us, and specifically how art and creating things helps to cope with difficult times. i also want it to be a celebration of the unique ways that the current young generation(s) have built incredible cultures and communities for ourselves. it’d be interested in discussing topics of mental health specifically, as well as issues and works pertaining to race, culture, gender, sexuality, and equality, broadly.
i would really appreciate submissions of work that you guys wouldn’t mind being featured in the magazine. i’m thinking each issue will be ~20 pages, but it’ll come down to how much time and effort i’m able to put into it tbh and anyone who is interested in helping is also free to contact me!
i’m accepting submissions of ANY kind of writing, art, photography, design, or whatever you’d like to share. in terms of writing, i don’t want anything longer than a few pages in length, and i don’t want to publish too much fanworks but all good work will be considered!!!
another thing i’ve thought of including is fashion tips, featuring local shops from submissions or etsy sellers etc, and possibly having a playlist to theme each issue (which i would also love to take submissions for--especially if you make your own cover art for mixes!)
i would also love to feature interviews with indie musicians or artists/writers etc. i know that a tiny startup magazine won’t realistically offer a lot of exposure, but if you’ve got free time and want to talk to me for 10 minutes for an interview, i would really appreciate it!
right now i can’t offer any compensation (but i won’t be making any money off of it either), hopefully if the magazine becomes something profitable in the future i can do so, but i need content to get started. all work will be properly credited and where possible i’ll include links back to your social media etc. AND you will still maintain ALL rights to your work and publish it anywhere else you choose.
i’m looking into publishing for free online (i won’t be making ANY profit off this for the time being). ultimately i’d like for it to be something that makes some money but for right now it’s going to be free. i am considering making a patreon account if anybody reads the magazine at all & wants to donate; if that happens, i will split EVERYTHING i make from patreon (even if it’s just a dollar) with people who are published in the mag.
basically, send me a message if you want to submit something, or want to suggest an idea to me, or just wanna say hi. i’ll let you know all of the information that i’ll require. i really hope i get some submissions, this is something i’ve wanted to do for a long time and i hope you guys will support me and help me out in this!
