he asked me to share a place I loved, the place i thought of when I felt too much.

I showed him the window in which led me to a roof i sat on to think.

he loved it so much he kissed me and I leaned into his touch

thinking the love of my special place and me held some kind of link.

and we began to sit on the rooftop, the roof shackles bearing our foot prints as we climbed

and it became a place we shared, a place he learned to call his own.

We wrote on each other's hearts and souls, and kept the memories combined

all on this roof top on my home .

and then we parted ways. with poetry, sadness and different memories painted on our skin

and my favorite place didn't seem like mine, it was littered with kisses and crumpled poems.

Now all the stolen kisses that once were heaven changed to my worst sin

I had sold the place that made me happy, my small sanctuary, for someone who wasn't looking for me, but looking to steal a home.
