So, I have found a family and we agreed on a contract - just to be safe. So they sent me the contract via email last week and I filled it out with my details and sent it back. But since then I haven't heard from them and I'm starting to get worried. I know they're probably busy but still... I'll send them an email later today and ask if everything is okay.
iPod Shuffle
I was tagged by soyouthinkyoucanaupair!well, not really but wanted to do it anyway So here's the first 10 songs I get when I put my phone's music player on shuffle
1) Bonfire Heart - James Blunt
2) San Diego - Panik (German band)
3) 18 - 5 Seconds Of Summer
4) Welcome To My Life - Simple Plan
5) All These Things I Hate - Bullet For My Valentine
6) Auld Lang Syne - Die Roten Tosen (again: German)
7) Somewhere - Collabro
8) Not Alone - Heffron Drive
9) The Forgotten - Green Day
10) Mmmbop - Hanson
HA! There's at least 1 90's song in there and I regret nothing. :D

And all of a sudden you have a family
I decided just before Christmas that I'll go and be an au pair again. I am 25 now, unemployed and just don't see my life in Germany anymore. I have been an au pair two times before: December 2009 - April 2011, near Dublin, Ireland and January 2012 - July 2012 near Cork, Ireland. So naturally, I thought about going to Ireland again but then decided against it and chose Great Britain. Two weeks after I first posted my profile on Aupair-World, I had found a lovely family. The parents are in their early 30's, they have a 7-months-old daughter and live some place in Hampshire, 1 1/2 hours away from London by train. I told them I could start end of May at the earliest because I have a ticket to Asylum 14 a Supernatral convention in Birmingham from May 7 to May 10, but they told me that if I could start earlier, they'll give me those days off. So I told them that I could actually start end of March / beginning of April because I have a 3-months notice on the cancellation of my tenancy. They agreed. The funniest thing is that they were actually looking for a French girl because they kinda want their daughter to be brought up bilingual because host dad has lived in France for 8 years. But my future host mum told me that they were both so impressed with my profile and everything I told them that host dad gave his okay, too. There's still so much to organise and stuff but I'll manage. I'm already trying to figure out what I'm gonna do with all my stuff. I'll throw out most of my clothes because I don't even wear half of what I own, I will store my dvds and books at my dad's, though I will take my most favourite ones with me. And as for my furniture; I'll throw it out or give some away. I don't have much anyway and I am not actually planning to ever moving back to Germany.
