Bram waited 1000 years for this day to come 😭
I find it really funny that Dazai has, if my memory serves me right, has swore only two times in the whole manga (he seldom swears even at his enemies, he an annoyingly polite boy) and both times coz of Fyodor... like this man made Dazai-annoy-everyone-around-me-to-death-Osamu go WTF at his antics
I bet if Fyodor drops his mask of the perfectly-in-control mastermind and let loose, he's gonna be weirder than Dazai + Gogol combined. Sigma hasn't seen the worst of this gang yet...
actually, Fyodor saying that--
surprised, not by the flooding, but by the fact that Dazai and his 7-year partner's bond was so shallow that Dazai think Chuuya's ability cannot deal with that flood // @/popopretty
--is surprising to me because Chuuya didn't really do... much for them to escape.
You see, this wasn't an incorrect fact:
Dazai is right, the walls are anti-ability and we see this in action too: (this most probably was a part of Fyodor's plan to throw Dazai off-guard and make him think that his plan was working)
Yes, Chuuya's ability doesn't work on the walls. Dazai didn't underestimate him or his ability. He looked at the facts and gave his opinions. (That's why I think his words in BSD 101 were also true, he must have really believed that Chuuya was going to drown because he had no way of knowing that Fyodor was gonna pick him for a pawn)
Getting Chuuya to break the threshold between every door was Fyodor's idea.
And it doesn't even seem like a big deal to break the threshold; it hardly took the power of a finger for Chuuya. (and no more than a slight dent in the floor should be enough for the water to flow out)
So.... why is he talking about their trust and bond and all if not to simply rile up Dazai?? It's Fyodor that Dazai should have kept an eye on (and still needs to) because once again, this conjurer is misdirecting his attention to his 'stronger' assistant here while the actual trick was all Fyodor's.
I have no doubt Dazai would have a backup plan for this,,,
but honestly he should have expected a massive rebound and not directly assumed Fyodor was dead (he even asked Sigma if he could use his ability on a dead body like bro slooow down don't jump to conclusions like that)
bc when he was bragging into the mic, Fyodor was listening to all of what he was saying with this look on his face:
Fyodor's pleasantly smiling face is unsettling (because it always screams: i am gonna murder you rn i won't even hesitate)
yet, well, it's his usual face.
it's his seething face you gotta watch out for bc if he genuinely gets mad, it's the moment you know you gotta run for your life
What's BSD Fyodor's true motive?
World Domination
Terrorism
Standing on Rooftops
Getting rid of Abilities
Finding The Book
Helping out SKK with their relationship problems
Viewing Karma of Humanity
Finding random white haired men for his 'cause'
The fact that we were never shown the door closing fully is a clever little piece of detail:
That's why I think the key to Dazai escaping from the elevator lies somewhere else and not here:
No, that would be too obvious and too easy. Not to mention, say, if any other criminal escaped via the elevator and gets their hands on the circuitry, they might easily stop the flooding as well. There won't be much of a point in putting the lock and key together, right?
But again, he could have already tinkered with the circuit in the control room so he is opening that box to do some fine-tuning here? Possible. But Fyodor is in the comand center now, so I think, he'd know if the circuits have been tampered with since he is good with computers
The other way this could go is Gogol helping them out (lol).
Because Gogol still needs Sigma to read Fyodor's ability (and the death match is between Fyodor and Dazai after all so....) chances are still there that he might help out Sigma and Dazai can tag along. Maybe, that's the real third(?) reason Dazai chose Sigma....? As a collateral, a gamble to force Gogol's involvement if and whenever something happens to Sigma, and consequently him.
But.... I don't think it'd be Gogol either. Gogol being the 'game-master' should be fair and not help out either of the participants *looks at him letting Fyodor pick from the items first*
anyway, I am not much worried about these geniuses; they are gonna uno reverse card each other till the end of the world until Chuuya punches both of them or Sigma decides it's enough and shoots both of them down with a gun he picked up on the way.
the only thing that worries me is that Sigma's fabulous coat will be ruined because of Fyodor and his pettiness Sigma wasn't even involved in your drowning why take it out on him
WATCHING THE RECENT EPISODE REMINDED ME OF SOMETHING--
