Dear Diary,
She's coming backkkkkkk ;)
I felt like part two better fit this blog, part one is here.
The first half of this two part post covered how I aspired to be a better student, now I’d like to look at how I can be a better me.
+Health and Fitness → I want to get back into my health and fitness seriously. Going to the gym regularly, drinking multiple bottles worth of water a day, actually eating breakfast lunch and dinner, these things are important. I also want to get back into using my fitblr, because it’s great motivation for me.
+Plan → Tying into what I said above about eating three meals a day, I also want to meal plan. I spoke about planning in my first post, but that was strictly school. I want to make sure I can eat healthy meals on a college budget, so I plan to start budgeting and meal planning for myself and my boyfriend in the coming semester. One of my goals is to track my eating habits as well as my financial ones, so I think setting aside some Plan With Me time will do me a lot of good.
+Rejuvenation Sundays → One thing I’ve really noticed myself slacking on is rejuvenation Sundays. This is where I take time to unplug from the real world and just take care of myself. Bubble baths, face masks, setting out time to read or nap. With my hectic school and practice schedules, I need a day each week to wind down
+Create → One way I loved spending Sundays was writing, which I haven’t done in so long. I’d like to pick back up (and honestly probably start over most of) the stories a fifteen year old me started writing on Wattpad. I don’t expect to finish them any time soon, but I really still enjoy my story ideas and would like to develop them. I also feel the need to start drawing and designing again. It sucks to fall off of your passions so my goal is to work on being passionate about them more.
+100HappyDays → This is a challenge I do often actually. Find something that makes you happy to post every day for 100 consecutive days. It really makes you appreciate the little things that make you smile on a regular basis
+Meditation & Buddhism study → I have wanted to be Buddhist for a few years, but never set out the time to really study and learn what it means to be one. Even if I can’t incorporate a fully Buddhist lifestyle, I know there are some aspects I want to incorporate into my daily life. With that being said, one of my goals is to meditate daily. Not for lone at first, maybe a half hour to begin with, but I really want to get serious about it.
I’m trying to get my shit together and I found this challenge on the studying amino app so here goes nothing.
This is a two part post, as I have a lot to improve on haha so here I will focus on being a better student. What does that entail for me?
+Be Classcenteric → That seems pretty simple right? Go to every class, take notes, ask questions if I don’t understand. My main goal on this one is to make friends in my classes, at least to study with. Which ties into...
+Study!! → I don’t do enough actual studying. My grades are good, but they could be so much better if I just put aside a few hours a day (realistically no more than 3 unless homework is hell) to just look over what was taught in class. I also want to start using my study apps more. (I currently have Amino, Forest, ClassUp, Quizlet, KhanAcademy, and Evernote. Which would all be so useful if I used them). My main goal for this is to take notes in class, then rewrite them in my free time so that I’ll actually want to look at them, study them, and post them. (Oh look, another segway)
+Blog → I get so much inspiration from studyblrs and study aminos I want to start posting my notes. Plus, now that I’m getting deeper into my major, it wouldn’t hurt to have digital copies of notes for future reference. I also want to get back into using my studysnap and maybe do some study with me vlogs. *Possibly* × You can find me on snapchat at gradboundsnaps ×
+Get back into French → I have always wanted to learn French, I even took two years of it in high school, but it’s well known if you don’t practice a skill like language you lose it. And man have I lost it. I don’t expect to be fluent by the end of the school year, but with the help of the app Duolingo, I think I can get back to basic conversation by Christmas. At least more than asking where the bathroom is.
+Plan → One of my biggest goals is to use my planner! I want to be able to look at my week and see what I have going on, clearly watch for due dates and exams, and track my grades by assignment so I’m not ambushed at midterms
+100 Days of Productivity → This is similar to the 100 Happy Days challenge as you must be productive for one hundred days. The difference however is that in this challenge the days don’t necessarily have to be consecutive. Find a hundred days to be productive, so something productive. Post here.
+Read more! → This one is really important to me to. I couldn’t decide if it was for better self or better student, but I decided to put it here. I LOVE to read, but haven’t been making time to do so lately. Which is sad considering how many books have been on my “to read” list for so long, and how many I’ve been planning to reread. So my reading goal is one book per month. Starting with Red Rising by Pierce Brown
Part II
If I don't use words then each sound goes unheard Utterly senseless without nouns and verbs But symbols suggest they are fit to posses A purpose and function that cannot be met
