That Was Myeik I spent nine months living in Myeik, Myanmar five years ago. It's a very remote place that was shut off from the outside world for 60 years. The last time Myeik was in the news, tanks were in the street crushing dissent but here's 25 minutes of the calm before tits up. The first half is largely me walking round the town and moaning about stuff. The second is a Hindu rain ceremony to mark the end of the dry season. It was pretty wild and from my perspective the ceremony brought the rains- no question about that.
