Haze
I wrote this poem four or five times before I realised the title was more than enough to describe how I get through each day.
Dear Absence
I am an empty canvas without it’s painter I am existent, and I am absent I exist, but I am not extraordinary - I do not tell a story in ink and oil, I tell it in old photos I tell it by telling myself to have an ‘early’ night Until I am awake at 2am, crying closing my eyes hard enough to remember your face to remember the way you always said my full name - I am a reverent silence I suppose now more than ever we are much alike.
She looked at me like a half-full bottle of her favourite wine... and you looked at me like one thousand days of misspent time.

everyday #04
You kissed me again on the morning you left, as if you kissing me was stopping me from feeling like this wasn't the last time I would feel your breath.
