It’s true what they say, the nights are long but the years are short. I can still remember vividly the days and nights of struggles, depression, and doubts for the year before you were born and even months after you came into my life but it is not because of you. In all honesty, those days and nights were sprinkled with joy and hope and it was all because of you. You make motherhood feel easy. You were such an easy baby to take care of and the first year of toddlerhood has been my favourite Myles’ year so far. You make me laugh all the time (your aunt @julepurfit said you’re going to be a jokester the moment she saw you), you kiss my booboos away, you bring me my bath towel when I forget but most of all, you amaze me not only for being such a happy kid (I’ve received that same comment from multiple daycare parents as you always say hi and bye to everyone) but because you have such a good heart. You love to hug other kids (you don’t understand this COVID world atm) and you are so gentle with animals. I hope you enjoyed today and if I were to choose a favourite memory from the past year, it would be all the singing and dancing that you do.
