WIP Snippet | title - "Don't Leave Me"

"You were so close, the ladder leading up to your escape only around the next corner. But you were hesitant. You hadn't heard him chasing you in a while and no matter how stupidly trusting he was you knew he wasn't brainless. He could be waiting for you. You were sure he was. The mere thought of rounding the corner and seeing him standing just in front of your last shot of freedom sent ice through your veins."

Anythin' For You Darlin'

Pairing/s: David Thorn/Reader

A/N: You try to clean the yard but David ends up doing it for you.

"Ow,"

The distinct sound of metal hitting the tin shed reverberates off the walls, David sitting up from his spot at his work bench and staring at the wall it came from.

"Fuck!"

Another metallic clang has David rising from his seat and walking towards the sheds doors. Upon opening it and stepping out he's greeted with the sight of you holding and armful of metal scraps with Sam sitting behind you with a piece of metal in his mouth. Pausing he notes what you have is the metal scraps he purposefully leaves scattered around the yard.

"What're you doin' darlin'?" He can't help but smile, watching the deep frown on your face as you glare at a piece that keeps slipping from your arms and against the shed.

"I'm trying to clean your stupid yard! I nearly cut my foot open yesterday on this shit," you hiss, directing your glare at him now as you balance the rusty metal in your fully covered arms. You also wore a pair of David's gloves for extra measure, you weren't keen on cutting yourself and risking losing an arm.

"Why do you have all this junk laying around anyway? The house is always basically spotless yet you let the yard look like a dump," You huff, watching David leisurely stroll up to you and reach for the scraps.

"Well, before you came along I had it on the ground in case anyone tried to run. It'd cut up their feet or get lodged in and they wouldn't be able to walk let alone run," David smiles down at you as if he hadn't admitted to a cruel act of keeping his 'guest's where he wanted them. You couldn't find it in yourself to give the natural response of disgust or fear, instead you roll your eyes as he takes the metal scraps from your arms.

"Yeah well, I'm not planning on running away anytime soon and i want to be able to play with Sam without worrying about cutting my foot off so could we get rid of it please?" You plead, resting a hand on his scarred arm and looking up at him. His teasing smile shifts to a small look of shock before once again it shifts into a giant grin.

Before you know it he's swooped down, shifted the metal into one arm so he could bring his free hand to hold the back of your neck, and pressed an almost bruising kiss to your lips. It's not too painful, it's filled with giddiness and you melt in his hold, cupping his cheek and kissing back as hard as you can manage. When he moves back your face is flushed and he's beaming from ear to ear, affectionately caressing your neck with his thumb.

"If it was botherin' you so much you should of said somethin', I'll have this place cleaned up real nice for you by the end of the day honey pie," he sounds elated and you wonder if it was because of what you said. You can't imagine there had been many people who hadn't tried to run away, which at this point you never would understand. David was nothing but sweet and attentive, always doing everything in his power to make you happy and comfortable.

Even right now he was willing to stop what he was doing and clean the entire yard just because you asked. It made you feel special.

"You don't have to do it right now, and i can help you know." You mutter, resting your hand on his chest and shifting your gaze there, unable to take his bright blue eyes gazing at you like you were the sun in his sky.

"I wasn't doin' anythin' important anyway, you just go back inside and relax n' I'll call you out when I'm done," David hums, trailing his thumb across your cheek and over your chin before dropping his arm back down to hold the scraps. You refrain from pouting at him denying your help, he always wanted to do everything himself and while you felt pampered you also felt a bit useless.

You go to object but David peppers another round of smaller, gentler kisses to your lips and ushers you away into the house. His stupid kisses can make you do damn near anything and it would frustrate you if they weren't so damn good. Sam follows you into the house and all throughout as you idly clean to wade off your want to go outside and help.

The sky is dark by the time David comes inside and the sweat dripping off of him makes you feel a little guilty. You quickly jump off the couch with Sam on your heels and rush into the kitchen, pouring him a glass of ice water and handing it to him as he walks in.

"You should have let me help," you scold gently, hands hovering, wanting to rub his probably aching back but not wanting to get his sweat all over your hand.

David just gives you a cheshire grin and presses a wet kiss to your forehead. You refrain from making a face as the smell of rust and sweat invades your nose.

"S'all done, come out and take a look," Despite doing what seemed like hours of hard work David still seemed energised, you wondered if he ever got tired. Didn't seem like it.

He takes your hand and leads you out the front door, Sam bounding past the both of you and running off the porch and into the yard. The yard is spotless, the small patches of grass have been mowed and all metal and car pieces have disappeared. Not only that but now there are fairy lights strung up on wire from the house to the shed and gas station. Lawn chairs and a small table even seemed to have been brought out from nowhere, a suspicious glance at the tiny tin shed only brought more questions than answers.

"Holy... Hell David, wow," you mutter, wide eyed and mouth agape as you slowly descend the porch steps.

"D'ya like it darlin'?" David's giddy voice has you nodding vigorously, turning and grinning up at him.

"God you're amazing! This is incredible David, thank you," you smile as his face lights up, chest puffing out just a bit from your compliment. You quickly step back up the steps and pull him into a kiss, sweat and grime be damned.

David hums happily against your lips, one arm wrapping around your waist and pulling you closer. It's a messy kiss and kind of gross because of the sweat dripping down his face but you don't care. You only have so many ways to show your appreciation for what he does for you and a kiss is definitely one of his favourite ways.

"Anything for you darlin'," David all but purrs against your lips as you lean away, his blue eyes half lidded and filled with adoration as they gaze down at you. You knew he meant those words, you knew he would do anything in his power to make you happy. And you knew you would do the same for him.

WIP Snippet | title - “MYMMM: Happy To Help”

"The sound of the door unlocking behind you pulled you from your thoughts and you quickly swivelled around to face it. The first thing you saw was large steel toed boots and then a blue jumpsuit covered in grease, quickly followed by a strong jaw and short dirty-blonde hair. Lastly you got caught in hazel eyes, thick brows, a defined nose and chapped lips marred by a scar on the left side. That was not what you were expecting."
