Helping hands – like most of you there were moments in my life when I asked for helping hands, and there were often none there. Like many of you I have stopped asking for help, since I remember the terrible aftertaste. It’s not even matter of NOT receiving help, but people’s generally “dismissive” attitudes or expressions of “pity”, which are not only unhelpful, but inflict another pain on the heart. As human empathy is useless in crisis I have learnt to make up a handful of imaginary hands. We are all  consciously attempting to be a banal variation to a person that has never existed, and that 'person' is unique to each of us, and cannot be replicated.  

Sad and true. It feels better to have a revelation than a moment of confusion.
