3 years ago, almost to the day, I arrived in Uganda with @katiemgiseburt - a few months later I remember her giggling and hardly being able to contain her excitement about this sexy Acholi man she met named Tony who she really connected with (at IST I think?). Last Saturday, Katie's uncle John leaned over to me (as we watched wonderfully talented men and women perform traditional Acholi songs and dance) and said, "Not everyone has gets to have THIS at their wedding!!" with the biggest smile across his face. And not everyone has the unbelievable love you two feminists badasses share. I am so happy I got to celebrate the lifelong partnership and love of you two and I couldn't be happier for both of you!
