“It's quarter to three, there's no one in the place except you and me,             So, set 'em up, Joe, I got a little story I think you should know..”

The gentle music played as background noise in the kitchen where the late teenager attempted to make cookies. His girlfriend - no, fiance - was currently in the hospital for a checker, taken by her mother who demanded it be just those two, leaving just father and daughter. Speaking of..

“Kyoko, baby,” he called out, “come help make cookies. I’ll let you eat as many chocolate chips as you want.” A tempting bribe, was it not? She should be in the living room watching a cartoon, last he checked.

           Another late night for Makoto. With the official opening of the school coming soon, there was too much to do and not enough time in the day to do everything. Leading him to work from their small apartment. Papers sprawled across the living room table, a cold cup of coffee half full right next to him. It was yet another all nighter for him.            He rested his elbow on the table, studying the various student applications sprawled out. Until he heard the bedroom door click. He turned his head, seeing Kyouko come out, rubbing her eyes. Well, he did sneak out of bed….

           “D-Did I wake you up?” He asked, a weak           smile across his face, “S-Sorry… I’ll come back           to bed in a bit, okay?”

His tone was childish as he happily watches the intruder try to escape from the cage of code that he crated just for her. Being trapped in a world of 0’s and 1’s does have its perks and this seems to be one of them because you never know when a killjoy comes into your playground. Your world.

However, it did prove that she was correct that intruders will be coming-she was so kind to tell the ‘Virus’ on the heads up. So, it was only fair that he keeps his side of the bargain on keeping her in place until she is needed on the ‘stage’. But there’s no harm on playing with the familiar lilac intruder.

“Hm. Since you’re here. I suppose I can erase you. How does that sound?”

The vice president turned towards her from his seat, the amount of paperwork that set on his desk unmoved and gave her a stare. Before standing from it to met her on an even level, Munakata knew that their... relationship, for a lack of a better word, was rather strained. Not that the man could truly blame her, all things considered. 

The utter powerlessness that the Future Foundation had to save them, to save the world and the innocent drove guilt to run through him day in and day out. But he did his best. Along with everyone with him. Day by day they saved as many people as they could.
