Saw this post and couldn’t stop thinking about this:

Grumpy old grandma Vhaegar adopts a hyperactive hatchling. It’s like watching an elderly cat interact with a kitten/puppy, just climbing all over it and (pointlessly) biting her legs and Vhaegar shows her love by tolerating it and not immediately eating it and only occasionally smacking it away at 1/4 strength. But if any other dragon tries to hurt her annoying baby? It is ON SIGHT.

Kid!Aemond starts off arrogant like ‘look how pathetically small your dragon looks next to mine, it’s practically a lizard’, then annoyed like ‘get your stupid lizard off of her!’ and you being like ‘why? she seems fine with it, stop being a baby’

Because she’s so old Vhaegar mostly sleeps when Aemond isn’t with her, so your dragon usually just wriggles around in her general proximity or sleeps near/on her, though Vhaegar is seen to be more interactive/aware with this dragon, opening her eyes or lifting her head to watch.

Watching them get along forces Aemond to think about you, how the two of you interact, and the massive crush he’s been aggressively repressing for ages. He kinda wishes he could be as tolerant of your teasing/playfulness as his dragon is of yours, but after a lifetime being on the receiving end of far less good natured jokes he just can’t help but get defensive all the time, especially when he’s young and hot-blooded and hasn’t quite learned how to control himself yet.

Imagine seeing each other after years apart. While you and your dragon are just as playful you’re both gentler. Your dragon will still roll around or lay on top of Vhaegar there’s no more biting, as if it recognises Vhaegars age now, and while you’re definitely still gonna tease him, relentlessly, you don’t poke his sore spots.

He’s mellowed out, at least enough to control his worst impulses and has grown a thicker skin, every joke doesn’t feel like a personal attack anymore, he’ll even tease back. He no longer feels, or acts as if watching your dragons irritates him, he actually seems… pleased?

and honestly, I already had an idea for a fic based on this post and I have a whole story in my head but somehow I find it difficult to write it down for some odd reason... it's frustrating...

now, speaking of your idea... it would be adorable as hell. also, dragon riders being like their dragons. grumpy x sunshine dynamic + if Reader is small (or at least smaller than Aemond and I think most women are) then they would totally be like their dragons. I can imagine Reader's dragon being small for a dragon in general and unfamiliar with any sort of fighting. Aemond wouldn't feel the urge to make fun of it and the Reader anymore, though. now, seeing them after years, he feels the urge to protect.

Headcanon: When Caspian finds Lucy, Edmund & Eustace it’s because he’s been following Red’s compass & when they got to this (seemingly random) patch of sea it started spinning like crazy & he told everyone to look around to try & see why, that’s when they noticed 3 overboard. Also it’s likely they didn’t need directions to Argoth’s place cuz the compass had found a direction & was pointing them there.

I can just picture Caspian, staring longingly at the compass, thinking of Red like the sad, romantic puppy he is, when suddenly it starts spinning.

Also 100% if he had just looked at the compass, then he wouldn’t have had to threaten Argoth (Although, then Edmund wouldn’t have shaken the diary off of him and Red would have been sad to lose it)

But the poor guy was so worried for Red that he didn’t even stop to think about the compass. I’m convinced that Aslan allotted the Narnian royals one (1) brain cell to share amongst them all, and Red was using it to plot her escape at that exact moment.

Okay but imagine spooky!peter having a s/o with just the strongest witch aesthetic. Like they dress in black & wear shades all the time & braid flowers into their hair & have rings/tattoos on every finger & just the whole thing. Even better if they have powers that tie into it like seeing the future or illusions or control of the elements or maybe even flying or telekinesis. Imagine Peter thinking she's a real witch & asking her about charms & stuff & showing her off cuz he thinks she's cool x

Helaena Targaryen x Bimbo!Reader

-> Helaena is SHOCKED that such a hot girl like you want to be friends with her. At first she thinks it's a joke.

-> But no, you're genuinely sweet and although she can see that you're disgusted by all the bugs, you still keep asking her questions with curiosity of a child. She is flattered.

-> Everyone is of course surprised to see Helaena with a girl like you because you are very different.

-> In fact, you like her the most out of all the uni girlies because she's honest and genuine and she doesn't pretend to be someone she is not. Other girls are mean and they make fun of you, too since they judge you by your looks.

-> Helaena always compliments your outfits (even if she would never wear them herself) and your hair and everything about you, really. She is in awe of how pretty you are and how nice to her.

-> She invites you over and of course that also means having sleepovers and sharing a bed with her, which might lead to having some fun with her 😈

-> You would never want to make her feel uncomfortable, though. You'd make sure it's something she wants as well.

-> Now, here's a thing: Helaena is brighter than you but she's as introverted as one can be, so you have to initiate most things between you two and you are usually the one defending you both out loud in front of other people when you're being made fun of. Sometimes it doesn't go well but Helaena loves you nevertheless.

-> In fact, she doesn't quite realize that you're a bimbo. She thinks you're pretty (way too pretty to be with her, she thinks, because she got used to girls like you having hot boyfriends and hundreds of mean girl friends) and that you're kind. She doesn't exactly view you as dumb and even when sometimes you do something silly, she doesn't pay attention to that at all.

-> I doubt she'd be into PDA but in private she would steal thousands of small cute kisses from you and she'd expect to be kissed all over in return.

-> You'd both go shopping and she'd adore you trying on all the slutty clothes.

I can’t help but imagine Alicent (canon or modern au) & the fam reacting to one of her grandchildren coming out not with Targaryen hair, not even her kids s/o’s hair, but her bright red curls. I can’t help but laugh cuz?? Not one of her kids have her hair or eyes but now?? Aegon like mum be honest did you bang my wife. Sincerely, a ginger.

lmaooo genes are a lottery tbh and I've read once we actually inherit more after our grandparents than parents 👀 it would be very sweet, though, I can imagine that little kid being an apple of Alicent's eye (she'd love all her grandkids the same but she'd have the softest spot for that one) + who wouldn't want to have her beautiful fluffy hair 😇

Because I adored your modern au fashion collage from the green fam and the stuff the sibs like to see reader wear in canon verse BUT if I may humbly request what modern aesthetic style would Alicent, Aemond, Aegon and Helaena would prefer their s/o wearing? (Like Dark Acedemia, Cottagecore, 70’s disco, goth, pin-up, E-boy/girl, hipster, balletcore, etc. don’t be scared to get obscure!) Would they like their s/o to match them or would they be enamoured by someone different? Thank you!

Hi darling! As I stated here I try to avoid specifying Reader's style in modern!AU because I want everyone reading to feel included and nowadays we have lots of many different styles.

I don't think anyone would really stop being into someone just because of the way they dress but they all might have their preferences.

I think Helaena would like someone more / less her style, which is a mix of cottagecore and goblincore. But she'd also love an ethereal Princess. 💕

Alicent would totally like an elegant woman like herself, too. Some plain and casual clothes.

Aegon would love bimbo girls, big tiddy goth girls, e-girls and all that stuff fashionable today (I'm sorry, I'm a boomer, I don't know most of those to be honest 😅).

Meanwhile, I can picture Aemond being intrigued by the cottagecore and/or dark academia girls because it's classy and reminds him of his mum and sister AKA the women he loves the most with all his heart.

Which doesn't mean they wouldn't fall in love with someone dressing totally different or not paying attention to fashion at all. It's not a priority for any of them.
