no just joking, I’ll try to sum it up but! It’s a FREE (you heard it right, FREE!) gacha game with an arena mode (like LoL) made by a Chinese company that features a pretty big cast of well known JP/ENG VA’s ( Mamoru Miyano, Nana Mizuki, Noriaki Sugiyama, Miyuki Sawashiro , Romi Park, Suzuki Tatsuhisa, Liam O’Brien, Crispin Freeman, Tara Platt, Gideon Emery, Marisha Ray, etc). Yes, all your fucking faves from Sasuke Uchiha to goddamn Winston Overwatch are in this SGDSGS.
The game plays a lot like a video game and follows the story of the legendary historical figure Abe no Seimei in Heian era Japan when humans and magical beings/demons lived in the same realm.
This guy ! ^ It picks up with him, a famous onmyoji ( court mandated diviners with the ability to bind spirits and make predictions ), who has forgotten his memories and runs into a Lot of problems with humans and yokai alike that he has to piece together and find out what happened. It also contains many side stories for the shikigami he has summoned and other side characters which you can play through and get to know them better!
It’s super fun and if you feel like smacking people, they made a MOBA app where you can play as the many yokai featured in the main game.
It’s fairly new, but already has a GIGANTIC following over in Asia. It’s taking a hot minute to start over here, but it’s rapidly picked up in the past 6 months or so. We’re still growing as a fandom! And there’s new content monthly.
It’s colorful, beautiful, lovingly handled ( and modded!! they have an official discord and a radio talk show held by Seimei’s VA for questions from players!!) , and fun to play with friends. The stories are retellings of famous Japanese folklore and history and adds a lot of depth to characters that makes you feel for them. I can guarantee there will be a character for anyone lol. It also has canon crossovers with Inuyasha, Mononoke, and other series in which during events you can summon characters like Kusuriuri and Inuyasha as your shikigami!
