Happy to announce my Warsaw debut on April 11th as part of this very unique event dedicated to Umbra a species of flower that only blossoms at night.

𝐃𝐄𝐊𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐊𝐓 𝓍 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐌Æ𝐑𝐀 𝓍 𝐍𝟏𝟑 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓈. 𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐑𝐀

𝐔𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚 — a species of flower which blooms only at night, once every 0̶͓̖̟̺̉̑̅̀0̴͕͉͉̐̆̑̃͆̚0̴̧̠͎̳̯͓̮̟̓́̀̄̃͐̒̕͜͜0̴̠̅̈̑́͝ years. In contrast to her sisters that grown in the sunlight, Umbra gains strength from the underground — feeding on its dark and shadowy frequencies. Her appearance is associated with increased levels of deconstruction, hybrid genre crossovers and a heightened sense of collectivity.

As night falls on the 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 the Umbra flower will blossom once again to spread its sickly sweet fragrance into the darkness. We invite you to dance in the shadows of its petals, unravelled by the frequencies of 3 collectives — Chim.æ.ra, DEKONSTRUKT, N13 and their very special guests.

LIMBS: Alexander McQueen “N.13”, Spring 1999 — Sophie de Oliveira Barata + Alternative Limb Project The wood encarves prosthetic leg was worn by the athlete Aimee Mullins to open McQueen’s S/S99 show, titled No. 13. Each one of McQueen’s shows was revelatory and awe-inspiring, but arguably this leg, is a reminder of a moment when he truly changed fashion – smashing a lingering taboo, celebrating disability where the fashion world had otherwise chosen to ignore it. Sophie de Oliveira Barata and her Alternative Limb Project, help amputees to focus less on their disability by forging an entirely new frontier in personalisation through the bespoke customisation of her client’s passions and deepest desires. Her intimate studio opens a world of opportunities and possibilities for amputees in a time when most would have lost hope.
