I always thought that Sanemi would struggle with alcoholism after the finale, I know that his confrontation with Kyogo is supposed to be this moment where he realizes he needs to fix his behavior. But going through something as traumatic as a war with demons and your little brother you swore to protect dying in front of you isn’t going to just be… magically fixed and healed by traveling, I’m sorry to say. I do like that he finds peace, but in my own mind, he doesn’t lol.
I do think that Genya’s spirit would watch over Sanemi though and try to ease some of his pain, by any reminder of Genya would probably make Sanemi feel even worse, and then drink more</3
