www.esowe.com NAFEST An annual arts and cultural festival. Started as a way to promote unity amongst Nigeria’s 250 diverse cultures after the only civil war in Nigeria which ended in 1970, through arts and cultural exchange by the National Council of Arts and Culture and the Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and National Orientation; has become a platform to exhibit the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria. The event last two weeks in the month of November and is hosted by one of the 36 states once every 36 years. I was born in Jos, Plateau state and while there last year, visiting family, I happened on the festival opening ceremony.
