Just started the Kasane Route of Scarlet Nexus after beating the Yuito Route and wow some things are being put into perspective already
First off, the opening parallels are crazy:
The Yuito Route starts with Kasane in the past saying that Yuito needs live no matter what.
The Kasane Route starts with Yuito in the future saying essentially that he (Yuito) needs to die no matter what
Like holy shit what a comparison to make right off the bat
Also I had no idea that Kasane and Naomi also went to Sumeragi Tomb as well. They even saw Yuito and Nagi there, and I was confused because I didn’t remember Kasane and Naomi there, but I looked back at that cutscene from Yuito’s Route and Nagi makes a comment about two cute girls to Yuito, but Yuito apologizes and says he didn’t notice them
Which is so neat because if you just played Yuito’s Route, you would have no idea about any of that. It’s really interesting that Kasane gets to see Yuito before he sees her, since Yuito would have recognized her if he saw her
ALSO THE FORTUNES!!!
When Yuito and Nagi got their fortunes of bad luck, I was like ha, they just joined the military and there’s obviously going to be Plot in this game so they’re obviously going to have somewhat of a bad time regardless.
But when Naomi got good luck and Kasane got back luck, Naomi SWAPPED THEIR FORTUNES to give Kasane the good luck. Which foreshadows how Naomi would end up SACRIFICING HERSELF for Kasane.
Seeing that interaction after you already know how everything is going to go down is just hhhhhhhrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh
Anyway I’ll be continuing to play Kasane’s Route, so stay tuned I guess
