Heya, I'm hoping to get vaginoplasty in the next couple of years. i was wondering which technique was used for your operation. And did you run into any complications?
I'm currently also kinda worried about being denied because of my weight. All the local surgeons seem to have strict BMI requirements. Did you run into any trouble with that sort of thing?
We had penile inversion done! It has some pros and cons like any other method, but I don't think it has any strict downsides, and the procedure is pretty straightforward. Some surgeons require permanent hair removal as a prerequisite for PI though, which can definitely make it more difficult to access.
In terms of complications, we had some stubborn hypergranulation (I think we ended up going through 7 appointments?), but in all honesty, it really wasn't bad at all. It was only a little tender for a few days after the first few treatments, and after that it was very easy to overlook entirely. It's really not as scary as it sounds, fairly common, and easily treatable.
The clinic we went to had a BMI requirement of <40, some places are definitely better about it than others.
