Sequel Of 90’s Drama Sanjivani Will Be Back On Air From This Day

Following to the news of a sequel of 90’s hit drama Sanjivani, we are really excited. Second season is making return after almost 17 years. So, fans are really waiting eagerly for this medical drama. In the history of Indian television, Sanjivani has been one of the best medical dramas. From the previous edition, Mohnish Bahl and Gurdeep Kohli are going to reprise their roles whereas Sayantani Ghosh, Namit Khanna and Surbhi Chandana are the newest addition to the series. First teaser from the show has been released now also which certainly brings back some fond memories of the show. Iconic tune of Sanjivani tugs our nostalgia as well.

Based on the latest development, we can say that Sanjivani 2 is going to be telecasted on Star Plus from August 12th. The show is expected to replace ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ on the 7:30 slot.

Following to the success of Sanjivani, there has been spin-off in the form of Dill Mill Gayye starring Karan Singh Grover, Karan Wahi, Shilpa Anand, Jennifer Winget and Sukriti Khandpal. During a recent interview, producer Siddharth has revealed that reference of popular character Dr. Armaan and Dr. Riddhima will be seen in the show. He has told us “They are two different ends of the spectrum. Armaan and Ridhima were love-hate, Rahul and Juhi were love-hate and this is also love-hate. There are references. Riddhima was Shashank’s (Mohnish) daughter, but we won’t disclose this (more info on reference) now.”

According to the producer, it is certainly best time to bring back sequel of the show. Later on, he has added, “It emerged through discussions with the network. It was the first show I created and was credited for as a concept creator, so as a brand, they wanted it back. Of course, this story won’t be similar to Sanjivani or DMG. The characters’ journey continues for the characters that I have retained. There are some characters I have retained from Dill Mill Gayye; there are some characters I have retained from Sanjivani as well. But other than that, the story will be different.”

Now, we are really waiting to get a first glimpse of the show on 12th August. What about you?

First Look: Sanjeevani Reboot Is Here With Namit Khanna And Surbhi Chandana

One of favourite shows of 90’s is ready for a reboot. Yes, you have heard it right. Medical drama called Sanjeevani will be seen on television once again with its new version. Makers have decided to add some fresh blood in the series in the form of Sayantyani Ghosh, Namit Khanna and Surbhi Chandana. Some of the original cast members have been retained also. Now, first look of the show is out with the combination of old and new actors. From the original series, you may able to see Mohnish Behl and Gurdip Kohli also.

Posting the first look on social media, Surbhi Chandana who is going to play the character of Dr. Ishaani has said “Say Hello to the Stunning Doctors of #Sanjivani also we the Team at #sanjivani wish you a very Happy Doctors’ Day #firstlook#comingsoon#drIshani”

In the original series, Gurdip Kohli has played the character of Dr. Juhi Singh and she is reprising her character once again for the reboot. Sharing excitement for the show, she has said “Sanjivani was a very impactful show for the viewers. I remember during my Sanjivani journey and even after that, I met a lot of youngsters who took up medicine because of our show. Our hospital was worshipped by the audience and the characters were extremely loved. I would like to add that Dr. Juhi is extremely excited to recreate the magic with Sanjivani once again and also would like to thank Star Plus and Alchemy Productions to have once again created this wonderful television show with a cult following.”

Through a statement, Monish Behl has also said “It’s a wonderful moment. What has drawn me towards the show are the three ‘S’, Star Plus, Sanjivani and Siddhartha. It’s an iconic show with which I had begun my journey on television and it’s coming back after 18 years. This time we will be approaching the show with more maturity and human emotions more subtly than before. All the best to all of us I would say.”
