I did it!!!! My first NaMoPaiMo model! Breyer Buckshot to a grulla paint gelding in earth pigments and acrylics. He was my first grulla ever, and also my most challenging pinto yet.

And he was an experiment at correcting a couple of the flaws in an often-overlooked mold while still letting him be his flamboyant Buckshot self! I widened his stance in the rear to make him less tippy, and sculpted him a left nostril since he basically didn't have one.

The lighting is terrible and this matte finish is not truly matte and it’s driving me crazy!! But he’s almost there! Just some hoof details, mane and tail, and glossing those itty bitty peepers!

Basecoat @rustoleum Ivory Silk (satin), second coat @winsorandnewton and Utrecht cadmium free oil paint.
